I just had my Legend HCx have the same problem. After talking to the Garmin people on the phone and trying assorted stuff, they agreed with me that the problem was with the unit. Since it was only 3 months old, they replaced it (with the help of Mountain Equipment Co-op where I bought it) right away. Maybe call the Garmin troubleshooting hotline. Nets

Hi: I have a Garmin Legend HCx and really like it. I've been told that the unit will only take microSD card up to 2GB in size and that the cards can't be of the "HC" type. Is this true? If I can put in a larger card, what are the advantages? I can only seem to display 50 geocaches right now. Will a larger card help with this? Thoughts, anyone? NetMinder29

I'm really curious what the story was on this one. Was it really inside a library? One of the logs reads: (OtisPug was the cache owner.) What the heck are they referring to? I must know! I found this one last night: GCY7RM Geocaching Cole Harbour. It was in the reference section of the library and actually had Geocaching in Cole Harbour on its spine! The Morse code gave the Dewey Decimal number for the book.....hilarious! Netminder29
