Just tried logging on to Geocache UK.com and I’m getting the message “This account has been suspended” hope it’s sorted soon as I want to do a bit of trig hunting later this week. Andy

With this cache although you are logging multiple finds you cannot log the same survey monument more than once. Having logged this one more than most it is not about numbers if you want numbers there are far easier ways of boosting your finds than travelling many miles to log this one. I travel quite a lot with my job and for me this cache gives something different to do when out and about with work and as a bonus the views you get from the trig points are some of the best in the country. I have mixed feelings about them. I go caching to:- get out, visit new places, for the walk and of course find plastic boxes. I do not cache to spend hours researching at the computer or spend hours trying to work out some seemingly impossible puzzle. To me that is just a waste of time If I think I can solve a puzzle cache in around 15 minutes I will give it a go any longer than that then I head straight for the ignore button and move on. Where I live there is at present a competition going on between a number of cachers who are setting more and more complex caches and looking at the logs these caches are mostly found by this group. At present there are 30 of these within 15 miles of my home coordinates that are on my ignore list. That being said everyone plays the game in their own way I will just carry on ignoring them End of moan for today Andy

Just use the log type “Write Note” this will allow you to drop the bug or coin without adding to your finds. Andy

When I went to Portugal this year I downloaded the caches into AutoRoute not as good a Memory Map but a lot better than a road atlas. Andy

It all down to my brother one half of The Gecko’s. I was going on holiday to Majorca and just before I left he handed ma a yellow e-trex and said if I had time to turn it on and follow the arrow. I ended up at the end of a very narrow road high up on top of a cliff with a huge pile of rocks looking at me. All the family searched for about 20 minutes and eventually we found it Majorcas Best View. That was the start of the addiction. And the e-trex…………….I never did return it I’m still using it now Andy
