  1. I recently visited Belfast which is part of Northern Ireland.... and part of the UK. However, there is no option under United Kingdom for Northern Ireland or Ulster or Belfast. One must select the country of Ireland which has "Ulster" as an option. Ulster is a historical area which crosses the modern borders of two nations. Shouldn't this be fixed? Who should this be addressed to?

  2. I looked at the Mexico, Argentina and Peru pages above.....and I couldn't identify a database of points I might be able Waymark. I don't speak or read Spanish well...so, maybe I am missing it.... but I wouldn't know what to look for if I wanted to post a Waymark. I'm not against the category proposal...in fact I appreciate the amalgamation of all the countries into one rather than having separate national categories.... but I guess I would appreciate more guidance as to what we are looking for.

  3. The wording is somewhat awkward and the examples are unnecessarily complicated, but better this than unclear and fuzzy.

I agree...the three photo requirement is a bit much.

Spelling errors and some awkward phrasing --

Yes I know. I will be editing the description today to make it more concise. My computer has autocorrect so when I am typing, it sometimes puts in phrases that don't always make sense. I'll make a new post in the forum when it has been updated.

and THREE pictures required? I think 2 is better. Other than that, I think this is a cool category and we would support it.

I will make this more clear in the category, but basically here is what I meant by that. Three photos if a plaque is present. Two photos if it's not. We need a bare minimum of two different angles of the specimen and one additional photo of the plaque to prove the specimen actually has had contact with lunar dust or is a real moon rock. If no plaque is there, then this photo can be submitted for a website so we can prove it's authenticity.

Thank you for your feedback everyone!

  4. Hey all,

Not sure if you were aware - just after the first of the year, I had the retina tear in my left eye. I have had corrective surgery that has kept me away from work and basically off the computer since the 6th of January. I have only been cleared to go back to work on Monday, however, I still have approximately 30% of the gas bubble in the eye so the computer gets to be VERY tiring. Because of this, I have not been able to approve waymarks since my surgery, and it may be a few more weeks before I am able to work my Waymarking queues as hard as I did before. I ask for your continued patience as I get my vision back in that eye and can take the strain of the "good" eye. Thanks everyone!

Wishing you good luck in healing quickly!

  5. Everything is almost 100%. The site is slower to upload photos still and I cant submit any waymarks still. I can enter and save the form, but I can't select a state that they're located in. When I tried to select a different country and go back to the US one, it didn't work. Are others having the same similar issues?

Yep...I'm having the same problem...this is getting very frustrating.
