Google Earth Gives Me A New Excuse For A Dnf
Skippy and Pingu replied to Pieman's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
A difficult cache to find. But there maybe a problem with Google earth and the cache positions. One of our caches isn't even displayed on it . -
We're pretty much ignoring the fact that Waymarking.com exists, might be useful one day if we're stuck in the middle of nowhere with our PDA and need to know where the nearest McDonalds is. Then again, if we're stuck in the middle of nowhere with a PDA I'm sure we could just use yell.com and do a search that way............. I only used McDonalds as an example......we don't go there......I'm not advocating the consumption of junk food.....I hate McDonalds......Ok, sub McDonalds for PUB.....HAPPY NOW???!!!!

Not knowing what you have/haven't worked out so far doesn't help, but I guess Pieman won't kill me if I say that there are 2 parts of the text that are linked to each other and that then allows you to work out the answer. Still stuck? Send us an email and I'll have a look tonight (Can't access that email account from here!) -
Wow! Bobuk has interenet access at the south pole! Must have got on the super fast jet on the way home! Took Pingu 4 days to get back!

Bug page opens but the calendar won't. Just says it's connecting and sits on a blank screen. I'll try it in IE and see what happens..... -
And we like waiting for you to do all the hard work and then asking for the answer Oh yes, but their "clues" are as puzzling as the puzzles!!! Hee Hee!! Don't want to make it TOOOOOO easy for you, want to leave a days break between the FTF and the rest to stamp our authority!!!!

How Long Have You Been Caching?
Skippy and Pingu replied to Us 4 and Jess's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
We started in July last year and we are on 233 and hidden 12. On a go slow at the moment, work seems to have gotten crazy!!! -
Thanks, great coin.

Why is an elephant big and grey? Cos if it was small white and round it'd be an aspirin!!!

Does Sp Look Any Different?
Skippy and Pingu replied to Haggis Hunter's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Definitely improved his looks......!!! -
Aaahhhh...good old vampire jokes! Why didn't the skeleton go to the party? Cos he had no body to go with Why did the hedgehog cross the road? To see his flat-mate Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Chickens weren't invented The list is endless!!! Mary had a little lamb it's fleece was red as blood, the reason for this was that it had an axe stuck in it's head.
-
We're up for that, could be time to unearth my rubbish joke book!!! Let's get one dodgy limerick out of the way first.... Mary had a little lamb, she tied it to a pylon, a thousand volts went up it's bum and turned its wool to nylon!!!

Muggle Sarcasm
Skippy and Pingu replied to walkergeoff and wife's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Could always tell them it's a 4th gen camera phone and that you have taken their photo and sent it to the Anti Sheep bothering committee..... Assuming there are any sheep around......could always substitute sheep with cows..... -
I may have been in attendance too Ooops! Sorry about that! I was trying to remember from quite a while back!
-
There was an amusing video that LordElph, Rutson and the House of Boo made that might give away a few hints...!!! That thread seems to have dropped off the bottom of the list though, so not sure how easy it will be to find!! The Royles - If you have internet access while you're there you can always email us, we'll try and respond quickly!
-
Most are by the smileys though....some iffy coords by them!! One of them, near Buttermere, points 300ft off a cliff!! The cache itself is towards the white cross on the hill, does help to read some of the previous logs sometimes just to be sure! We did loads just before we did Quest for the Ring of Power, trying to get to a significant landmark so QFTROP was a good number!!

Great Cache Swops Of Our Time!
Skippy and Pingu replied to Simply Paul's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
We had one once, went along the lines of: Grandson was pestering so took Football man, Bouncy Ball, Puzzle and glitter pens. Since Grandson had nothing on him, left nothing How bad is that??!!! He shouldn't have been allowed to take anything if there were no swaps to put back in!
