  1. Hmmm, interesting topic. I think geograpic area would need to be considered also; we live in the White Mountains of NH where there are loads of places to hide "regulars". Maybe some guidelines should be applied ..."x" feet/miles between cache locations. Perhaps this should apply to "all" types of caches! We personally enjoy the "regular" caches; gives that true "treasure hunt" feel. Our kids are grown now, but I'm not sure how much Geocaching they would have enjoyed without all those regular caches. Just our humble opinion
  2. UPDATE: This cache has been adopted. Thank you for your interest. Jeff and Tracy
  3. I would fill out some information (through Geocaching.com) which would simply transfer the cache ownership from us to you. Pretty simple. Interested, please let us know Jeff and Tracy
  4. Up for Adoption: Whitaker Woods Cache (GCK4V1) North Conway, NH _______________ Hi everyone, Tracy and I want to announce that we will be pulling up stakes and traveling the country sometime in the near future (hopefully). Even though we plan to be back here in Mt. Washington Valley during the summer months, we hate to leave this Cache unsupervised during the winter. Therefore, we would like to place this Cache up for adoption. If you're interested, just let us know and we'll start the process right away. Thank you, Jeff and Tracy
  5. You folks are great! I am guilty of making too much of the system. After reading your responses, it all seems much clearer now. Yes, I need to let the GSAK Filtering work for me ...I'll give it a try. Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone. I was wondering if there is a way to “streamline” the paperless process. I use CacheMate on my PDA (Palm Zire 31), and GSAK. Maybe I’m just not together, but I seem to either mistakenly delete the wrong waypoints, or have too many just hanging around. Does that make sense? Example: I save waypoint “XYZ123” as a .GPX file, bring it into GSAK, Export it as a CacheMate PDB file to my PDA, then Export it as a .LOC file to my GPS (Garmin eTrex). Okay, ready to go. Now I get home and have to sit down and sort through everything …delete this, save that, etc.. My question is, is there a way of “multi-tasking” that I have somehow missed? Am I just getting lazy in these mid-life years? (hehe) Advice would surely be appreciated Sorry if this sounded really stupid Cheers, JT03845
