  1. Thanks. That did it. Surprised this has languished that long.
  2. Drafts were published using partner app. Drafts were checked using official app.
  3. Right now the list of drafts in the android app is not matching the ones on the website. Yesterday I was out caching with a partner app. I created 3 drafts and they went to the website. When I went to edit them using the app they were not on the app. This morning I then went and delete some older drafts through the website and they disappeared from the app as they should. Huh?
  4. So using a mobile app to do mapping I believe i went through the quota in under 30 minutes. How much do you pan around a map? Looking at the 60 calls per minute and 50 caches per call an app can go through the full quota of 16000 in a little over 5 minutes. Then all your other partner apps cant download another cache for a day. I am not making an assessment on the right or wrong behavior. I am meerly noting it has changed with the new api and i would like a tool to manage it.
  5. A quick test a couple of weeks ago with two apps showed that doing a refresh in one dropped the balance in the other. This is for the new api. I became sensitized to it when the map feature in the mobile app would not fill in. I checked the api balance and there were none left.
  6. Hello Using some of the apps that take advantage of the new api there seems to be some significant changes. One appears to be that the quota for cache downloads is per cacher instead of per cacher per api partner. (I don't know what is the case for the other limits.) So one app can impact the performance of others by consuming all of the resources. From a user perspective, the resources consumed are pretty opaque. I have no idea how much of the quota the website partners consume or a what time of day to schedule around them. GSAK uses the API to tell me how many are consumed but not by which api partner. My smartphone apps also don"t tell me how much of the API they are using to generate the great maps. It would be nice to have some insight into what is going on. This would let me not use particularly greedy apps on road trips when the maps on my smartphone are more important. (It is frustrating having a map stop populating on a roadtrip.)If a website partner is particularly greedy that subscription might get terminated. Right now can i get a list of partners authorized on my account? Are there any tools to let me see which apps are consuming my quotas and limits? Thanks
  7. Poking through facebook, there are comments that project-gc and gcdroid are "in process" from their developers.
  8. It started with a post on the gsak board and the looking at the social media, web pages, and updates of various partners.
  9. Wow. With the cutover coming soon, not many apps seem to be using it.
  10. Howdy Does anyone have a list of API partners that have migrated to the new json based api? Cachetur.no GSAK And GeoohLive Have mentioned it in their plans or have release or beta software using it. Are there others? Thanks
  11. Howdy. I have a draft for my attended log for an event i ran. It shows up on the website but not in the app. Screenshots attached.
  12. Wow. I just ran into the 40 limit for instant notifications at an event. folks seemed surprised.
  13. This morning, Christmas Eve Early morning PST, and the pq page is timing out in some browsers and very sluggish in others.
  14. I just received the "There are no events within 100mi of your home coordinates in the next 2 months. Try searching in a larger area." when looking at my dashboard. This is not the case. There are several within 30 miles over the next two weeks.
  15. Yesterday I found a challenge cache and created a draft with another app. At lunch I stopped to edit the draft using the official app. After using the checker on project-gc I had the text copied for the log. I could not paste it into the log. No matter what the long hold, it did not seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?
  16. This appears to have fixed itself on Monday. However it is unclear is this is because of reduced activity on the site or some other action.
  17. Ditto on the 20/40/60 second retries and fails.
  18. Project-gc is reporting API issues and I am seeing approximately 1 out 10 API calls hanging (responding signficantly slower) in GSAK. today. Most of them are snappy and responsive.
  19. International Space Law makes space objects the responsibility of the nation they are launched by. So Russian satellite, Russian territory. Things get more interesting when one country owns it and it is launched from the territory of another country. Some ESA launches fall into this category. As do some US based launches including ones by NASA, SpaceX, and others.
  20. If an earthcache or event, the maintenance plan would be minimal. As for permissions, UN Conventions of Law of the Sea states pretty clearly what is outside the territorial reach.
  21. The main thought is to be a event or earthcache. And yes, there are geological features under water that make them interesting.
  22. Can it be deleted later so as to not mess up stats?
