  1. I have a Blackberry Curve and use the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Well worth the $19.99. It gives you everything the website does and more. You can view hints and logs, and even mark your find or dnf.
  2. I have been using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble for awhile and I love it. It has everything you could want when searching for a cache. Radar (when zeroing in on gz), compass (when moving faster), map (ariel, street and topo) and details about the cache. You can also get the hint, and logs. Then to make it even better, you can mark it has "Found" or "Did not find" and it adds it to your Field Notes on your Profile page on Geocaching.com. When you log on, you can log your find and done. I think it's a great product and well worth the $19.99.
  3. After reading these I just may try the truth and see what happens. Fortunately when we have been approached, it has been in an area where I can use my made up excuse. "We were here earlier and my daughter lost her necklace. We were hoping to find it before someone else did." You wouldn't believe how many security guards, officers, and complete strangers help us look for this invisible necklace. (Btw... I don't have a daughter). We have even had one officer use his spotlight at a park. We saw the cache but had to return later to sign it. Maybe I will try the truth next time just so I don't have to return.
  4. My friend and I have one account and my son and his girlfriend have another account. Mostly I am hunting with my friend but sometimes I go with my sons girlfriend while the other two are working. TxJewels
  5. I think it was a faulty gps actually, garmin instructed me to take it back to the store and tell them to send it back. I downloaded LOC, GPX and even straight to it, and we could only get 2 out of 30 to show details. So the Geomate Jr. has preloaded caches, seems weird that they don't have that available in a regular GPS, sort of like the updating the maps. Thank you for your help. TxJewels
  6. Getting frustrated please help. I bought a Colorado and after many hours on phone with Garmin, I had to return it to the store because of the GPS not downloading the details of the caches. Still didn't like the fact that I had to download each and every cache in the area I wanted. I travel too much. I went back to the Garmin eTrex HCx and it does great on getting me right to the point I need to be, but does not download details and still have to download each one for the area I want so I have to print off a paper with notes. 2 questions............. 1. Is there a GPS that is preloaded with caches (like a reg. gps is preloaded with maps and you just have to update the maps once in a awhile). Would be nice if they were on there and I didn't have to download them every time I go out of town. 2. Is there an SD card that can be purchased with preloaded caches that can be inserted into a current gps. Would really appreciate feedback on this before I go batty. TxJewels
