Garmin Oregon software version 4.16 Beta

how can i put the offical 4.10 version on as it wont let me as i have 4.16 beta on -
all signage is being made out of a plasticy like substance to stop the tea leaves going round and pinching them and melting them down to sell off at a scrap metal dealer. There was a big thing on our local news a few years ago about the problem and how much it was costing the local council everytime they had to replace a sign before it went missing again.

i want to hide a card with the co ords for the next stage of a multi near to me but waypoint 1 (start stage) will only be 100metres from a traditional, the final is well away from any nearby caches, can this be done or am i stuck because of the cache too close to waypoint 1?

theres a caching event this weekend "logging yer lurve" GC2KXJX ive posted a note on there for people to bring along their walkie talkies and that we will use just channel three (so those without DCS or CTSS tones can participate).
-
i use them, often i leave mine scanning all the channels or if im out with minitext we will use them so i can get on with finding the cache whilst she catches up lol. i wished i did have one with me the other day when i got surrounded near a cache by a load of farmers in 4x4's as they were using them and i could at least had a heads up they were heading my way

Getting into trouble whilst caching
smstext replied to Tiger-Eyes's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
only ever been stopped once, by a wooden bus shelter trying to find a cache at 1am, told the officer as he had pulled up i had just to stop to put some water into the radiator as it had over heated and was having a quick fag before continuing, showed him my work id and explained the van wasnt livered due to what we carry (always a good excuse), with that they wished me a good evening and went. have had a few muggles ask what im doing and threaten to ring the police with that i tend just to move on and leave it as its not worth the hassle. Howver one muggle once shouted from his garden "its to your right, thats right that rusty tube" i found it and thanked him, he thought we were mad and mentioned that he has thouht about putting an ice cream stall outside with all the cachers that go by lol. -
sounds like you might have the wrong map selected. go into maps and see if there is another map showing? on my tomtom i have england/ireland maps and england/ireland maps+europe. if you have another map option select it and see if it comes up with that one. go into poi's and select poi's you want to show, i beleive you can select to show in 2d, 3d, both or none when you copied over the file to tomtom did you copy over the icon? on my device the gsak file saved 2 files as "waypoint" one was the data the other was a little orange square with a "*" in it which marks the cache location, is that in the same folder?

how about a cache covered in dog poo and leaves, all in a village which had a sign every 50 yds telling dog owners to clean up after their pets and how clean their village is. makes you wonder.

smstext replied to GabyandChris's topic in GPS technology and devices
load the pq into gsak, go to file, export, tomtom and it will make a tomtom file up. copy and paste this to the map directory of the map you will be using and turn on poi's jobs a good un. -

ive got the latest beta version for my 300 and i now suffer map hangs, map not refreshing, rarely pick up the waas/egnos birds, device crashes, pointer needle going haywire, distance to cache pausing basically i wished i never ever touched a update or beta file.
-
same problem as martyn, i think they have only updated with egnos/waas for america and not uk. i have since reverted back to V4.10 and emailed garmin where im still awaiting a response.
-
Yes it is me, I thought the article they did was a good accurate description on geocaching and one that could be used to explain geocaching to muggles and for encouraging newbies to the hobby.
