  1. I just purchased a Sony Cyber-shot Digital Camera the DSC-HX1. It has the capabilty of interfacing with a little gadget that will imbed the GPS coords into your digital pictures. It is called the The Sony GPS-CS3KA. It has the ability then to create KML files that you can then import into Google Maps or Google Earth, etc. We will be going out to Yellowstone and the Tetons in July. Lots of EC's there so this looks like a good way to keep track of the pixs for logging. Has anyone worked with this ?? Thanks in advance.
  2. We too very much enjoy winter caching. We love it in the Nort Woods of Wisconsin. Over the past two years we have participated in the Great Northwoods Treasure Hunt hosted by the C of C's in St. Germain, Minocqua, etc. That's always fun. Great exercise. And no bugs, poison ivy, or foilage to contend with. We also have found numerous caches via snowmobile. Our winter cache GC19YQ6 for "snomocaching" also inspired a bookmark list of the same vein. We love caching with snowshoes in da Nort Woods which is about the only way you can move about. We also have a winter geo-kit of probes, huge spoons, etc. for finding those buried caches. After a winter of that kind of caching summer caching was a breeze! Caching up in Timberline Echoe's neck of the woods is very challenging and fun. Getting to one or maybe two caches in a day is a good day. First and foremost you have to have the right gear and need to have a solid outdoors sense about you. Half stepping through hip deep snow in the woods is the norm. For us it's a year-round sport which works out great for us because we are out-of-doors in all four seasons. Sparse Grey Hackle and the Blondie Bloodhound Try it!

  4. OK, I use a iQue 3600 and a GPSMap60Cx. I don't see the NT software version as being compatiable with the iQue. Question here: Which single software should I get to use on both GPSr the Non-NT vesrion of City Naviagator. Can I get 2008 and wait for the 2009 upgrade to be relased? thanks in advance for any and all help
  5. OK, I have loaded CacheMate into my Garmin iQue 3600. I have transferred using GSAK into the iQue Waypoints etc from my PQ's. I can interface the GPRr with the CacheMate but I want to use the Auto Routing feature of the iQue with all this and have "The Lady" talk to me. So, do I need to get these WP's into my iQue address book using the CacheMate? And, if so how? Thanks in advance
