  1. I normally walk around alot looking for the cache anyway so the tacks will be crazy enough to be confuzing
  2. I think my better half is going to get me a new Palm T/x PDA, so I can go paperless I already have everything else since my job is mostly outdoors.
  3. I use alot of Trimble products at work including http://www.keypre.com/product_detail.asp?p=580015146 http://www.keypre.com/product_detail.asp?p=5000082 Yes the accuracy is incredible, but as was said before the Cache is only as close as the placers GPS. Besides its more fun to wander around a tree for two hours looking for the cache only to find out it is in the next tree over.
  4. Conservative Talk Sirius Right... Or one of the rock or country stations on Sirius Sat Radio, depends on my mood.
  5. Hey now me and my whole Cache crew is under 5'3" me being the tallest and out of curtesy to the cache owner we put all back where they where found. Its not that hard though if the cache is to far up I just hike one of the kids up on the shoulders and we work it out.
  6. I have been looking at the Legend C and the Vista C recently and the only advantages of the Vista are the Compass and barometer other than that the Legend is a far better unit for the price. I have looked at about fifteen different places to purchase it and the price has been from $205 to $235. I am going to go with the Legend C in the near future so the better half can use my GPS V while I am on the road.
  7. I have thought of this recently even though I am fairly new to the hobby. I think for the adults Sig items are interesting, but I have left in the past Mini Glow sticks, and carabiners.
  8. I'm not big on logging a DNF for every cache I have trouble finding, if I can't find the cache and have no intentions to go back and try or I run out of time in the area I am in I will log a DNF. If I go to a cache and attempt to find it and fail, then go back another day I will log it as found and write on the cache web-log that I attempted it and had trouble.
  9. Cache in the winter I have found the mosquitoes don't bite as much in december in NY . Oh this thread is about summer bugs..LOL. I work outside and most of the time in areas where the bugs are bad. For ticks I generally tape up the bottom of my pants and use deep woods off. For the rest a long sleeve T-shirt and more OFF. Jday
