This might seem dumb but I have seen it happen a few times. But did you turn the GPS unit on after plugging it into the computer

Make sure that your coordinates are in the correct format when placing them into your phone (im sure someone can give you more info about the formats) As for a good one for under $150 are any of the older model Garmin Etrex I got my etrex legend used for $60

I just had a look, and they really do have some great stuff my favorite so far is the shirt that says "dont mess with a geocacher, we know all the best places to hide a body"

What, does no one else remember the last thread about logging without signing? It got ugly in there! could you post a link if it is still available, maybe I should read it before loggin them as finds

HI Im not sure if this has been answered somewhere on the forums already. I just recently started geocaching, my dad got me hooked when I went on a family trip and helped him find some caches. What I am wondering is since I now have my own geocaching account could I log those ones as my own find aswell even though I never personally signed the log?

My very first find was actually in a cemetary it took me to a memorial dedicated to soldiers. Im fine with caches in a cemetery as long as they are respectful

Hi I guess im a lurker, I just started getting interested in Geocaching when my dad came out for a visit and took me geocaching. I live in Calgary Alberta and am in the process of getting a gps unit so i can start geocaching.

very interested sent you an email I noticed looking at the specs on garmin that it is not geocaching friendly, does that just mean i have to manually put in the coordinates. Or is there some software that would make geocaching easier
