Well, Toro, this is one "Bug" I have noticed, and dealt with, since essentially forever.
Coords come off my GPS in decimal form - Waymarking's default has always been degrees & minutes. NONcompatibility!
Sooooo - I've always created a set of Excel formulas to do the translation and used degrees & minutes when submitting. Occasionally, however, when doing just one or two, I would just use decimal degrees, knowing that I would have to go around at least twice to have them approved/accepted.
I had optimistically hoped that the last round of Bootron's ministrations might have rectified that situation, but your post causes me to believe otherwise.
I haven't posted much of anything recently, but possibly others could confirm or deny the rectification of the long time decimal degrees issue?!?!?!?!?!
Keith
Did you notice that in the last update I added the ability to change your default coordinate type? You should be able to use decimal format for all coordinates if you want now. And even if you have the default settings set to something other than decimal, you should still be able to copy/paste your coordinates as decimal and it will just automatically convert them to the setting you have chosen. Here's the page to change the coordinate preferences:
home -> profile -> edit your account settings -> your preferences (change button)

The Dreaded Error Page
(Or - An Ode to our Bootron)
In past when e'er that Error Page
Has shown its gruesome face,
I find it's been preceded by
A work I CAN'T REPLACE.An Error Has Occurred today
But luckily this time,
A backup-click produced my work
Still perfect, still sublime. So Joy, has somehow Bootron's work
So diligently applied,
Finally made the magic work
And truly turned the tide?Keith
A Cause Concealed
Laughter cracks, and help I gave,Uncertain of the action's pave.
In error's wake, its cause concealed,
Seeking truth, laughter revealed.
A mystery veiled, my mind takes flight,
To capture essence, words ignite.
Lessons hidden, laughter's sway,
Unraveling the enigmas at play.
Translation: "This cracks me up and perhaps yes I did something to help, but I'm not sure exactly what without also knowing the action you took that led to the error. "

There’s a lot of love for Waymarking at Geocaching HQ, especially between bootron (who built Waymarking from scratch as his first core responsibility here many years ago…he’s now HQ’s Director of Engineering) and one of our founders, Bryan, who is a Waymarking category officer. Despite that love, our limited resources are devoted primarily to Geocaching and Adventure Lab at this time, and have been for many years.
The recent changes and updates that you’re seeing are the result of work that bootron is doing on his own time, largely on weekends. Since the work is not part of the standard HQ Product process, the release notes, such as they are, come directly from bootron as he’s able to push out updates.
Personally, as one of the waymarkers at HQ, I really appreciate what he’s doing!
This is mostly true, although we do prioritize some Waymarking site maintenance in-band as well. Security is kept up to date as best as we can and we also will occasionally upgrade our servers and the operating systems for Waymarking & Wherigo within our regular work hours/schedules. Some of the work on the enhanced coordinates (the most recent major update) was actually done by one of our core teams for Geocaching; I was just able to use some of my own time to connect their work to the Waymarking site. It wasn't an insignificant effort to do so, but quite a bit of the heavy lifting was done by the core team. That all said, unless you are experiencing a bug that is affecting core game play, you're best to stick to the forums in terms of getting support for the more minor things (rather than going through Geocaching's help desk).
I have a pretty significant list of bugs to fix and future feature ideas to add. I'm currently watching this thread specifically to find problems with the latest releases, but whenever new ideas or new bugs come to my attention I do my best to keep track of them and prioritize them for a future effort. But as Rock Chalk mentioned above, I am also responsible for all software engineering at HQ so I have a pretty full plate most of the time. Waymarking and its users is/are my first HQ love. It's strongly in my personal interest to keep it up and running.
Also, it should be noted that Wayfrog (and BruceS before him) has been the primary interface between the Waymarking community and HQ. In my opinion, he deserves significant amounts of love as he is responsible for all of the non-programmatic day-to-day maintenance of the site. He volunteers his time to support the community and is most definitely one of the main reasons the site has continued to function. I couldn't easily do the work I do for the site without the efforts he puts in.Anyway, I appreciate the nice words from you all, and will continue to carve out time to support the site as best as I can. It's been fun to watch the site continue to grow and survive despite it being somewhat hobbled due to the limited support. I can most definitely tell you that the site reaching a million waymarks was a truly special moment for me in my career. As long as I am at HQ and as long as you all continue to use the site as you have, I'll do my best to keep it functioning (and hopefully improving).
bootronPS - I am aware of the bugs that have been listed above and am working on a release that will fix some of them. But I'm several days away from being ready with it, so please be patient.

Thanks for the information. As I said, I didn't need the feature until yet and was not sure if I missed something. But after your confirmation that it still is available, I cleared my browser cache first and then took a closer look at the buttons beside the visit log.
So I found the possibility to delete a log is hidden behind the "Edit Visit/Comment" button:
Thanks again for guiding me ...
This is actually something I'm planning on fixing in the near future. I think deleting logs in this way is pretty silly. I'm going to create a proper button on the right side of the site instead of having that antiquated checkbox delete.

I've confirmed that a bug has been reintroduced on the profile details section of account settings. I'll take a closer look at this today. Is it safe to assume this is the part of your account that you were trying to update or are you seeing another section with issues as well? -

Thank you for addressing this visit date issue -- wow this is going to be awesome
Won't have much time to look at this today, but when I break free I will take a closer look and see if I can make it work for you with that format.- 1

So I've made a few more updates to the site this morning. I believe quite a few things in this thread have been addressed. Also, I think I've fixed the log date bug in this release.
* Log Date now goes off the date you enter
* Waymark date formats should be working again (still may be a few spots that I've missed, but keeping an eye out for them)
* Should be able to view waymarks and category pages without being logged in
* Stats dates should work properly again
Still trying to reproduce Max and 99's issue, so far I haven't been able to do so.
Thanks,bootron

I also had to notice that the approval date in the listing page is missing
I have also verified that this is not a piece of information that we had listed on the waymark details page prior to my recent updates. It is very often the same date as the date posted and clutters up the page. You can see approval dates in waymark lists on the category page. It's up for debate as to whether it's better to show the date posted or the date approved on the waymark details page.

Well, there seem to be some more changes in the background:
-
For example the site does not allow reading of the category pages (for example Framed Views) or waymark pages in the list (for example my last one in the category Kiers Gård - Højer, Region Syddanmark, Denmark) without a validated login any longer. I have seen, that this applies to most of the pages now.
My java program to create the user statistic pages (see https://wm.familie-frohne.net/count_user.php) used to crawl through these public available pages to create the entries for these statistic pages. Without those public available pages the statistic pages will no longer be updated (at least until I find out how to log on "programmatically" before crawling the categories again). - I also had to notice that the approval date in the listing page is missing.
- I may not view some of my waymarks (for example https://coord.info/WM13PER - where I get redirected to the error page), but I'm allowed to edit it when it is displayed in the category list (https://www.Waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=43a392e1-8bbd-4eaf-9eb0-247e22de2ea8&wft=2&uid=e7285268-748d-4e40-ada8-cc100ac950f6&st=2 ). That seems a little bit odd ...
There may be other issues, I have not found yet.
Yours,
Erik.
Confirmed that these are real issues, working on a fix for them.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take a look at these and see if anything can be worked out. I don't think I did anything to specifically change the login rules on those pages, but maybe it got tripped somehow.

Thank you Bootron for investing time energy and resources into Waymarking. The loss of Benchmarking still hurts (see our caching name ha) but if some of that savings was invested into Waymarking, we appreciate it
If anyone else experiences this problem, be sure to log out of your account and back in, and maybe also close your browser and reopen it.

is the visit date bug fixed, so I can edit the visit date and have it not revert back to today's date?
Not yet. But a fix is coming.

A few additional follow-up features added/bugs fixed that went out today:
- New single textbox coordinate entry for posting waymarks - (the fix for the E/W issue)
- Added "Get Current Location" functionality when entering coordinates for premium members
- Added messaging to let user know that the "get current location" is in progress when the button has been pressed
- Added similar enhanced coordinates/get current location functionality to the homepage search
-
Overhauled the "Preferences" settings section
- Still working to ensure all the settings are working correctly across the site, but this is a first step
-
Added "Show Last Visited Date" setting to account settings page
- "Show Last Visited Date" setting now actually controls whether last visited date is visible or not
- Added a lock icon for users who have selected private last visited date (so they know it's private for other users)
- Begun the long process of fixing date formatting sitewide (more to do here coming soon)
- Updated the number of active scavenger hunts per premium user to 25
- Moved the news tab from top of the site to the footer
- Moving the ONE MILLION WAYMARKS celebration post down below featured waymarks and Waymarkly app
- Bug Fix: Check for existing waymarks is now being called when "Update and Continue" button is pressed (on unfinished waymarks only)
- Bug Fix: Fixed spacing on a few tables in the stats section so they fit the page better
- Bug Fix: Removed non-functional "Update My Statistics" Button in profile
- Bug Fix: time zone user setting was off by one zone in account settings
- Bug Fix: Category status label on group page no longer displaying weird html
- Bug Fix: saved search dropdown should no longer show up as disabled for premium members
If you see any issues with this release, please post anything you find into this thread. I'll be watching throughout the weekend and will be available to make any changes (or roll back) if need be.
Enjoy!

As we could already edit a waymark, what is new ?
There is nothing new about the edit functionality, we are only drawing attention to how the feature works so people understand that making edits will require a review. Hopefully it will encourage people to actually make edits (when they are necessary) knowing that they will be reviewed by the category managers.

I believe I may have a solution ready to go for the E/W bug. I'll be opening it up to all users in a week or so, but at this moment we are still testing it. If you are interested in being added to the test group, feel free to make the request in this thread and I'll add you to the group.
