  1. That's really cool, yet almost ridiculous!
  2. Yeah, i'm more talking about the younger part. Because, I'm actually 12 and geocache without the aid of my parents.
  3. My question, short and sweet: Do you think that persons should be a certain age to hide a cache???
  4. Don't show the number of you TB in the picture!!!!! Real Example: looks a bit odd though doesn't it? Regular Caches Found 14 Virtual Caches Found 6 Multi Caches Found 1 Travel Bugs Found 16,387
  5. Why not to. looks a bit odd though doesn't it: Regular Caches Found 14 Virtual Caches Found 6 Multi Caches Found 1 Travel Bugs Found 16,387 I totally agree with you!
  6. not really. Although, it is nice if you hide them about 6 ft or lower. I personally carry a stepladder along, although it can be hard to explain yourself if you are caught....
  7. I just need something basic for Colorado, or Elpaso county, in Colorado. Nothing expensive ether. Garmin was selling map for my etrex Venture HC, and most cost more than the actual GPSr itself!
  8. Yeah, Witz is cheaper than pelican and otterbox, but I've tested them myself, and they are completely waterproof!
  9. How big? How much do you want to spend? Otterbox and Pelican make small waterproof containers, but they will cost about $25 each. Nothing else I can think of will come close. Then you'd have to weight them. Use a Witz container, simply attach a weight to the included carrabiner. Go to REI or Witz Store Picture
  10. You can actually buy fake rocks designed for geo catching!!! go to: Shop Groundspeak
  11. I actually lined my film canister with electrical tape, but I suggest if you use this method, test in the sink first. The Fail -safe way,go to REI (Store or online) and buy a water-proof Witz container (My personal Favorite for Quality Geo-cases): Website: Witz Cases
  12. LOL the one I was looking for was actaully a bright orange bag hanging in a tree!
  13. That's... depressing. However, I am buying from PC nation, and the one they would give me in particular is refurbished.
  14. From what i have seen, people just add a Found it, and leave the other one alone.
  15. Simple. If he is retired/inactive, can't you just put yours up in the same place? If he's not responding ask the powers that be on Groundspeak if they can archive/remove his. There you are. That is the problem the REVIEWER is the on that is retired not the OWNER. so where do you go? well, then you need to contact Groundspeak directly: contact@Groundspeak.com
  16. I am thinking of getting a Garmin Etrex venture HC in particular. The Garmin website says it's Geocatching ready, but is vague about anything else.
  17. Simple. If he is retired/inactive, can't you just put yours up in the same place? If he's not responding ask the powers that be on Groundspeak if they can archive/remove his. There you are.
  18. "Sorry, but the worst caches are put out by the Three Day Wonders. Find one cache. Hide three take out food containers under rocks. Then disappear." -Harry Dolphin I am NOT going to be a three day wonder. mainly because I just bought a $130 GPS! anyway, after i found two catches, I thought "Gee, I would really like my own catch!" So, I went out to the local REI, bought a cheap waterproof case and now i'm going to find a nice place to hide it. Luckly, i live in colorado, so THAT shouldn't be too hard...
