++++ I Love This Idea. I have a TB Hotel cache (GC2R4D5) that averages 10-20 guests at any time. I try to check it every month for "ghost" guests and if they have not shown up somewhere by the end of the next month I mark them as Missing to keep the inventory reasonably accurate. I always send an email to the TO first, but about 90% do not respond. This [Feature] would be much simpler and make the whole trackables system more accurate.

Hint is not okay if you encrypt/decrypt repeatedly. Stage One - Bowl of Tree&nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;yg;br&nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;nzc;amp;tg;Final - Stickoflage. Mind the Gorse. Yes I have clicky fingers. You don't need "clicky fingers" for this to happen. It starts just the 2nd time you decrypt a hint and gets worse each time after. -

Geocaching.com site update August 2nd 2011
Olddffart replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
We took a stab at this issue over the last week but weren't happy with the way it was implemented so it was rolled back. We recognize it's a big complaint from Premium Members so we're going back to the drawing board with some other ideas. I hope to announce a fix for this very soon. Glad to hear you are working on this. The use-ability of the maps is very limited without the ability to list the caches shown with reference numbers. In the meantime, any chance of reactivating the disabled PM filters on the old maps ?? I do like the changes made to the attributes. Now if we can just get everyone to use them! -

"Premium Member Filters:" on the Old Maps have been broken ever since this Bug Fix release on June 28 (all the check boxes are grayed out). Was this intentional ?? -

Olddffart replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
The "Print version" has been doing that all along, at least in FireFox. If only we could convince them to do that to the regular cache pages!!!!!! But the PM cache filters no longer work (grayed out) on the old maps. Another example of "fixing" something that ain't broke ! -

Aparently the list of PQs on the left are toggles - click once to show on map - click again and they will disappear. Have you tried this ? -
Geocaching.com site update June 9th
Olddffart replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
This latest map "improvement" is Not. Why should I have to create a PQ and do about a dozen clicks just to see a list of the caches on the map ?? And then do it again every time I change the map area ?? And there are still no numbers!! Why make it so complicated and user UN-friendly?? All we want is a numbered list that references the caches shown and updates automatically as the map is moved, the same way the old map does. Come on Guys, is that really so hard to do ???????? Really, SIMPLE....IS....BETTER !! -

Thank you! So what size will all Events be now - "Not Chosen"? CITO event caches, and Earthcaches still have the size option enabled! -

Olddffart replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
Shouldn't matter. If you find the cache with them they can log the find via geocachingadmin without a problem. GS will back them on logging the cache. I often run into the same problem - what is/where do I find "geocachingadmin" and what is the procedure?? -

Yeah please change this back. This map is much worse than the Google Map. Yes, almost useless Dont know if its me but the MapQuest pic keeps timing out. That and the copyright is annoying The cache list is not showing up on the beta maps as of right now .............. I can get the cache list panel, but it is empty !! :( Beta maps are looking better all the time. Even the old ones got fixed ! Thanks. -

MPO should be PMO = Premium Member Only BM = Basic Member Well, a distinct limit is a must, but below i.E. 500 Caches should it be possible.... Franz The new maps are getting better with each new update, thank you. The major downfall left is the lack of an (optionally numbered) list as per the old maps. I don't think anyone would expect or want a 10,000 cache list. The cache icons change depending on the zoom level (twice, actually), is there any reason the cache list could not be limited to 500 caches as it is on the old maps? Or only activated above a certain zoom level? It doesn't matter from this end how you do it, but we really do need the same cache list fuctionality in the new maps as there is in the old ones. If a list is put in place on the new maps, I think you will find that the use of the old maps will drop dramatically. -

I took care of that with two clicks! (hint Firefox w/ adblock plus and adblock plus element hider) Shouldn't have to. Very few geocachers are tech savvy enough to even know what you are talking about, much less, to do it. Really - I think they are! Frank, there are a lot of us around here that have never had anything to do with what makes a computer tick. We just use what we have and feel that it should work as advertised and not get screwed up in the name of "progress". I never "upgrade" anything on my computer as long as it's still working for me, mainly because I don't understand how to fix it if it screws up. And I've never before heard of adblock - I can only guess what it is by the context of your sentence. My latest cache (GC2R4D5), which I realize that you would classify it as basic and quite simple to do, took me 6 hr. of trial and error, etc., to get it looking like it does. And that was before Geocaching.com screwed things up!!!. -
