  2. I have CS5.0 but i havent unloct it for my 60cs. When ever i try to transfer the maps to the GPS the computer bring up an alert to say that the maps havent ben unloct for that unit.
  3. I have both the eTrex and the geko units and the same cable workes for both.
  4. I like usaphotomap it can put the caches on satelitephotos as well as iny other waypoints in the us.

  6. I think the GPS V is really great. I have 2 of them.
  7. You can put it on all the computers you want to bit you can only tranfer maps to 2 GPS units. Mine I use with an iQue and my newest GPSV. It will not transfer maps to my older V or my Legend
  8. There is a map viewer on this page that lets you see what the detail is on alot of the garmin maping programs. http://www.garmin.com/cartography/ Top right hand side.
  9. Yes, we have one. Works great. 1 set of batteries lasts a long time. Shipping time was good considering coming from Hong Kong. BNC is better than MCX if you don't already have an external antenna. It locks in place and stays connected in a backpack or hip pack.

  14. When I did it I copied disk 1 to a folder of my choice then copied the other disks into the same folder then ran the setup.exe from there. When I first started trying to copy mapsorce CDs to the hard drive thay woodent ever install right. I think the old mapsorce program coudnt handle it but the newest ones work real well.
  15. My wife and I have Geko 201, Etrex Legend, Gps V and an IQue. We also have three external antennas, and one reradiator. Will be getting the GPS 60C or CS when it comes out.

  20. It works great. i have dun that several times. With UsaPhotomaps I have ben able to see what lane I was driving in Wahl going down the freeway. Usaphotomaps is located at www.jdmcox.com

  22. City Select and several other of Garmins mapping programs are unit specific. The number on the back of your GPSV corresponds wit the 25 digit unlock code that came with the GPSV to unlock the detail maps
  23. Yes the city select can be unlock for 2 different Gps units. In-fact we just got an iQue and used the extra free unlock for our old GPSV
