  7. Most all Garmin units save the time and date on all of the track points. At leest all of the units that i have had from them.
  8. You will have to go to Garmin's website and get the iQue 3600 Transfer Waypoints Ver. 2.2 at http://www.garmin.com/support/collection.j...ct=010-00264-00 then export the info out of GSAK as a Mapsorce MPS format then go to your Palm Desktop and inport the info.
  9. You could also probably change the GPS to accept that format somewhare in the setup menu.
  10. On my iQue I don't know of a way to send a route to it. But it is easy to make one on the unit. just choose where you want to go, let it make a route there then add via points by choosing a waypoint (which you can transfer from mapsource), finding an address, point of interest or or just use the stylus to point at sone part of the map. Once you make a route on the iQue you can save it for later use.
  11. I just chekt it for my 60 cs using the serial port it didnt work. I dont have City select unloct for my 60. But my V workt fine sinc the maps are unloct for that unit. What hapend is when trying the 60. I press start tracking and all the details on the city select map disapears.
  12. If Ijam's Nature Center is just south of Knoxville downtown iland airport the closest cache is Penguin's Loot II on an iland between the airport and your park.
  13. I have dun this by making a file named topo and copying disk 1, 2, and 3 into it so I ended up with 6 files named Alaska, East, Hawaii, Tdb, UnitCode, And West in the topo folder and then running the setup.exe from there.
  14. I think that Virgin falls pocket wilderness is a great hike, 8 miles out and back, but 2 hours east of nashville. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...15-c472a6e6d6a9 I mite be a little bias thow
  15. The easiest way that I know of is to download GSAK at http://gsak.net/ and use it instead of Easy GPS because GSAK outputs Mapsource Files. You will have to go to Garmin's website and get the iQue 3600 Transfer Waypoints Ver. 1.0 at http://www.garmin.com/support/collection.j...ct=010-00264-00 then export the info out of GSAK as a Mapsorce MPS format then go to your Palm Desktop and inport the info. GSAK is free, BTW.
  16. If your in the USA the Legend has a basemap on it that shows you all mager rodes and freeway exit info.
  17. That is my bigist complant on the 60 is the data field size. if all the fields are on it takes up half the map. The other thing is that my old V had was navigating and non navigating fields. that was real nice when I wasent navigating some whare there wasent a blank field whare distance to next wood be.
  18. my 60CS has a really nice stopwatch featchure with lap by pressing a button or by the distance you have travled.
  19. We (my wife and I) got the V when it came out. The end of last year we got an iQue and kept our V for in the woods. The iQue is a great unit and you will git the newest City select maps to use for your V also
  20. I've heard that the Kyocera Qcp 2035 car charger works. I do know that it works on the iQue.
  21. I had a problem seeing the topo lines also. I put the screen into night mode and that made them a lot more visable.
  22. For the Legend worldmap wood give you a good idea whare you are and what larger rodes are near you. you can go hear http://tinyurl.com/32fj6 and chek out what the detail is by zooming in or out on the map.
  23. I had this happen once. I was playing around with one of the mapsets zoomed out to 1500 miles and the program came up with an error. When I went to open MS again it would always be the same error and it would close. To fix this I installed another of my map sets. When I opened up Mapsource again, it loaded the new mapset and would open properly. So install (or reinstall) another map set for Mapsource. If you don't own another map set, you can go to Garmin's website and download the Mapsource US Tides mapset for the GPSMAP 162/168. It's free and a mapset in itself. http://www.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=159
