  1. Must mention that all 5 of the Elements Series are boat-accessible, but that doesn't do much good to me... I've been to them all lol (I own'em all) Thanks for these ones guys, keep'em comming i there are any others... -D-
  2. I'm just curious if there are many Kayak/Canoe-able caches in the Niagara region... If so please list'em here (Preferably their name AND GCXXXX code...) Thanks -D-
  3. This is MY cache mobile. I love this thing. Built it from nothing up. It maxs out at about 60 on flat land, but I've gotten it to about 70-80 on hills (I plan to set a personal best thi summer and record my speed with the GPS) -D-
  4. Thought this is the time of year when everyone is finally hosing off the Salt residue from their cache mobiles and getting ready to hit the Streets and Trails again. So I thought it would be a nice way to start off the season by Bragging a bit about your Cache-Mobiles.... Please post some pics of your rides here and give us a bit of a description Thanks Happy Caching -D-
  5. I've got a bug that has the same theme as this log... thought U guys might like to check it out (If only the bug hadn't been stalled in Germany by Womoduck) I hope it moves along soon Moutain Goat -D- P.S. My ride to the caches can be seen in my display, and at my Profile
  6. Sounds pretty cool. That would be alot cheaper. And I'm from Welland , when I say Niagara I mean the penninsula. -D- P.S. When is the next pub night that you guys are having J.H.?
  7. Eric, Between work and school I don't often go out on drives in Niagara Falls, but solong as you don't mind a slight delay, I'm sure I could find a way to get them to you. By the time I receive them it should be about mid-May and by then I'm sure I'll be considering some N-F geocaches So I'm sure I can work something out for you. -D-
  8. I just received an e-mail from GPSCentral and they do combine shipping solong as the order is under $100. And sofar the count is still at 2 thanks to an apparent lack of interest LoL I'll leave this open for another 3-4 weeks... Thanks -D-
  9. Ok, I did the math... Providing that GPScentral has combined shipping on orders this is how the costs will work out... Number of bugs ordered / cost 1- $15.95 2- $11.95 3- $10.62 4- $8.74 5- $8.58 6- $8.48 7- $8.40 8- $6.87 9- $6.99 10- $7.09 11- $7.16 12- $6.83 13- $6.92 The bugs have price breaks at 4-8-12-16 and so on. If the order is at 3-7-11... I'll fill in the extra to keep it cheap So if you're interested it's less then half pirce at 8 people The prices all INCLUDE shipping+handling charges Please post to let me know Sofar the order is at 2 for myself -D-
  10. I'm going to be picking up some T.B.'s soon and I was wondering if anyone in Niagara wanted to save on shipping and have me buy them some too. I'm not trying to make a profit, w/e they cost me they'll cost you... And even if your not from Niagara and you plan on comming down for a few caches sometime I'll gladly hold them for you... If anyone wants in, just post here, i'll have it notify me and I'll add you to my list. I'm likely going to order them in 2-3 weeks time, to give everyone a chance to see this post. (P.S. I plan to order them from GPSCentral.ca, if anyone knows anywhere cheaper please include it in your post. Thanks) GPSCentral Happy Caching -D-
  11. Not wanting to give it away...but I had in mind a cache that would be attempted fromt he Bottom climbing slightly up, and/or out towards it... Any that would be from above would keep security in mind. The security of the Cacher and of the environment surrounding him/her. I, in no way, will place a cache that is likely to cause any harm to anyone, but I do wish to induce a feeling of fear and thrill in the cachers while they attempt the cache. There are several key spots I have in mind, they are not an easy hike, and they ARE dangerous, though you risk a twisted ankle or a broken limb, not your life. My worry now is getting the caches past the approvers... (P.S. the caches will be placed sometime in march-april, so it won't be snowy and they will be clearly marked as DRY-DAY Caches, no nighting, no winters or rainny days...) -D-
  12. Just tossing around a few ideas and wanted some input. Here's my plan sofar... I'm starting a Job as of Feb.12th and I'll finally be able to afford placing a few new caches, but there's a catch... I want to make a series and I was wondering if anyone in the North Pelham, Louth, Rockway, St.Catherines, Thorold, Lincoln (You should get the hint by now) area would be intereted in some serious caches. A well ploted series of "Cliffhanger" caches. I was thinking of exploiting some of the Niagara Escarpments most breathtaking rockwalls by sticking caches in, and around, them. So the simple question is how popular would a cache be if it was rated a beastly 5 or 4.5 on the terrain scale. (The caches MAY compaire to my Decew-Detour) Thanks -D-
  13. Thanks everyone, I got a copy from a fellow cacher [Mike of Team Lugnuts] But for anyone else looking for a copy i'll leave this topic open for discussion. Thanks -D-
  14. Fuji E-510 5.2 MP 3.2X Wide angle compact optical zoom 2inch hi-res TFT LCD screen Metal+Shock Resistant Plastic construction A/V recording Best little toy since my eTrex legend -D-
  15. Just a note on that last post: The Topo Canada goes for about 50 bucks more than the Can V4, so you might have to offer a bit more in a trade, less of corse you can convince someone to burn it for you But i guess I shouldn't say that, I bet there's some legal issues there... So to anyone else, DON'T PIRATE CD's yeh that should do -D-
  16. Would a O km Canadian geocoing be of your liking? I've got a new one here, #51. -D-
  17. I'm still in the decision stage right now, I have my eye on the MapSource North Am. V6 but the Canadian one looks better in other ways... Just outta curiousity how much is anyone asking for their Can.V4.0's ? -D-
  18. Thanks DanOCan, I checked out the Metroguide North America v6. VERY impressed. And on top of anything else I found it CHEAPER... So befor I pounce on this one, anyone know of any catches in this program... is it really just a MetroGuide Canada for all of North America? Thanks again -D-
  19. Can't really make that one a plural, Global positioning systems? Theres only one System, less you include maps but who uses those anymore And for the R I find calling mine "My Legend(Garmin eTrex legend)" or my BLue traking deely for my less informed friends... But when typing the r tends to slip in every few posts LoL Isn't their a fine balance here, how about we call them GPSx, hey we get rid of the R, but theres still a neat little letter to confuse those who don't cache Or maybe not... -D-
  20. sorry taliesinchica someone e-mailled me last night and the GPSr is no longer for sale... I'll be closing the topic now so theres no more disappointment -D-
  21. I've checked Ebay, plenty of Mapsource, but this particular one...seems to have none. But thanks for that link -D- P.S. Does anyone know if you can run two GPS's off that program?
  22. I'm looking for a Mapsource MetroGuide Canada V4... problem is, in stores they go for about 160 bucks with tax... I found it on the net for 120$ +10shipping +19.50taxes... Anyone out there know of anywhere cheaper for this, or does anyone have the CD that they'd be willing to sell cheap (Like 75 bucks...) Any help would be appreciated Thanks -D-
