  1. I use a Blackberry Curve with Cacheberry and it works very well except I have to remember to carry a plastic bag in case it rains or is muddy. I bought a Satmap as I assumed it would be better than the Blackberry, after a couple of weeks I have gone back to the Blackberry it is far more accurate and easier to use.
  2. Happy to add my vote for a Blackberry with Cacheberry. I have a curve 8900 it has a very accurate GPS and it lasts all day when caching. I did use it on Orange but the coverage could be described as "variable" so now am on O2 and it is excellent.
  3. I am another user of Cacheberry with a Blackberry curve, couldn't be happier! Spent yesterday on a caching trip, before I started got 500 caches near to my starting point, had them sent as an email, saved the file on the Blackberry then imported them. On arrival sorted them by my location, picked up the first one and followed the compass. I have set mine to play a sound at GZ, 3 times yesterday looked around me without moving and there it was!
  4. I now use Cacheberry on a Curve 8900, I have tested it alongside my Magellan and found it more accurate and of course it is truly paperless. I now only use the Magellan when it is raining although then the paper has problems even in sealed bags. I did read in the release notes for the version of Cacheberry that I am using that there is a fix for a problem seen sometimes in the GPS feed.
  5. It's likely you will need to initialize it, I have to if I move too far since I last used it. When you do this it normaly takes about 10 minutes for it to sort its self out. It works fine for geocaching but you can't get too near trees or high buildings!
  6. My first and still current is a Magellan GPS 315 and it still works fine despite years of use although my Blackberry Curve 8900 turns up tomorrow, not sure which one I will end up using.
