  1. Ok here is the deal. I just went out and bought a new in the box, Magellan Sportrak Pro. It came with the cover and belt clip, the data cable, wrist strap and the Mapsend software. However In all of that they did not give me the product key to unlock the Mapsend software. Have I overlooked something? or is this a common problem with this software. I emailed Magellan and their advice was to use the 11 digit long S/n of the GPS for the 25 Digit product key. I donno. If Magellen wont resolve this quickly I might just have to go back to a Garmin. So far its been a disappointment for my Magellan.
  2. Yep, thats the one. Thanks guys for all the help. I guess I will hold on to it for a little longer till i can get done up right. Thanks again.
  3. redtailfalconer: There are no other numbers on the coin. Everything i described is as it is. CLAMM: Is it just a collectable coin? or was it meant as a gift?
  4. Ok, I was handed this geocoin about a year ago for finding a cache. I have decided to pass this coin along. However, I can find no information in this coin. Maybe you guys and gals can help me. I will do my best to describe it and not give out the tracking number. 1. Gold coin 2. 1 1/2" 3. Front has the state of California, 4 hikers and reads "California", "The Golden State", "Eureka", and a compass the has "N37*09.970 W119*26.970", and a 4 digit number at the bottom. 4. Back has the geocache logo, "You are the search engine", "geocaching.com", "2004", and the used with permission disclamer. Thats it. I want to drop this coin off here in Iraq soon but I dont want it to be just a floating coin. Can any of you help find out how to track this coin. And I did try to do the tracking by the number but cant fond anything on it. Thanks again for any help.....
  5. That is exactaly what I read before thinking about it. I was also asked in anotehr post if there was any thing out there that was fairly easy to do as far as a Cache Route. But untill some thing easier comes along im just going to zoom all the way in on the map and start writing. And if all goes well maybe if anybody is intrested in taking the same routes that I took I would send them all the ones I did/wrote down. I donno I think I got a lot of work ahead of me.
  6. I use my Army Issued Desert Combat Boots. Work well and if I tear them up too much I just DX for a new pair.
  7. What about a cache filter where the paid user can put in several waypoints it filters out all caches not with in a 2.5 mile direct line of either point so say for example I put in N42*13.555W122*35.654 and my second point is N43*13.555W123*35.654 and the line between those two point it scans all caches on either side of that line for no more than a few miles straight line distance. just a idea. what does everyone else think???
  8. OK, I am planning a 1200 mile trip from Washington State to Colorado. Then from Colorado to Montana and back to Washington State. What I want to do is find out if there is any easy way that I can make a Cache list of the closest caches along my route. Is there some program or software that will help me in this trek? any and all help would be great. thank you in advance... I did look at the GeoCaching web site and panned the route im taking but there are so many cache sites that are irrelavent to my trip. I guess is there a way to filter out caches along any specific routes that I choose.
