  1. I am not sure if this has been said, but I think getting credit for each stage of an Adventure Lab is about numbers and making it successful. I started caching in 2004, and at that time a multi-stage cache was just as popular as traditional cache. I took an 8 year hiatus, and now I am caching again. It seems now that traditional caches are far more popular than multi-stage caches.... Again, it’s about numbers! It doesn’t bother me that you get multiple credit for an Adventure Lab. It offsets the harder caches that require long hikes and the multi-stage caches that take most of the day to complete; like a 21 stage cache I did many years ago! BTW, I have not done an Adventure Lab yet. Hoping to do one today!
  2. [quote name=Mine came a few days ago and they are nice. I think I like last years' better, but the new ones are growing on me. They aren't as flashy as the previous, but they are elegant. I've got one activated to drop in a cache soon. (I need to drop some TBs I've picked up first.) Mine arrived today. Must admit, I was a little disappointed with them. 2006 coin is my favorite, followed by last year’s coin. I noticed a 2005 just sold on ebay for $156 and change, which I also like better than this year’s coin. I think if someone bought this year's coin, and had not seen the others, they would wonder what all the compass rose mania is all about!! Sorry to be a downer!!!!!
  3. Thanks webscouter .... appreciate the response.
  4. A cacher recently posted a note on his cache page stating that my coin was not in his cache. The coin now has the missing "?" icon. It is my understanding that only the owner of the coin can post the missing "?" icon, or it is automatically posted if a cache is archived. Am I wrong? Can anyone without the tracking number post a coin as missing with the "?" icon? Thanks for your help!
  5. I find it hard to believe (and painful to read) that people are actually using this forum to complain about the price of a coin. If it were not for Brywalker and company, the State of Connecticut would not have a geocoin. I think they are one of the best coins I have seen, and I have heard nothing but praise from the cachers who have found them or bought them as a collector's item. So Brywalker and company ..... Thanks for all your hard work in making these coins available to the caching community. Nothing but here!
  6. I have placed TB's in several of my new caches to help them along, and I have never heard anything negative. I am not sure how competitive FTF's are in your area, but keep in mind that it is possible to find a preapproved cache by tracking down the location of the TB(s) that have been placed in the cache. There are a few cachers in my area that are very good at this!!! There again, this may have changed with the new format. I'll have to look into it! Good luck with you new cache!

    New Tb Design

As a follow up to a special limited travel bug .... A different dog tag for each state would be nice (similar to the coins) with its own "state" icon! If this could be done, certainly put me down for 50!!

    New Tb Design

The new design looks fine! Sometimes we can get too hung up on minor details! I was wondering if anyone has suggested designing a "special" TB (maybe a different material) which has a new icon. It could be a limited issue that celebrates an event. Ray (The Ax)
  9. I think I have two or three yellow jeeps to my name. I found them without really trying. I assume I will eventually come across a white one the same way. So until then, don't turn your back on me if you have one in your possession!!! .... just kidding! I enjoy driving Mrs. Ax's mini. That's small enough for me!!!
  10. Congratulations! Hopefully, fame and fortune will stay with you for the next 100
