  1. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Now who remember what show that is from? Or rather, who is brave enough to admit it? To do so would just bring Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me.
  2. Awesome! Looks like about the same quality we used to watch on our TV's at the time. Maybe time to take the tubes down to the drugstore and test 'em.

  4. I hope you don't consider this a belittling post, but you have 10 finds. One you "replaced" the cache where you thought it should be. You have two travel bugs from two different caches that you have not logged and one geocoin that you have not logged. So out of the 10 caches you have had problems with 4 of them. That is not a real good success rate. Now you come on here saying you are being harrassed. Don't know man, maybe it is not in the cards for you. If you do sell your GPS, please place the TBS back in a cache. You do kind of owe it to those people to return them.
  5. Try using Google Translate. It actually works pretty well.
  6. Awesome, just absolutely awesome! We told Daniel that you were going to take the gnome to a picnic and he was pretty excited about it. He was really happy to hear that you were taking him there. It is interesting, the more people that get involved with this the more he is enjoying it. THANKS ngrrfan!
  7. NG, Hey thanks to you and your friends for keeping Daniels travel gnome going. Now it is picture time!!!! This is not all of them, but just some of the pictures posted. They include the gnome and the scarf!!!!! (I hope, I have not posted pics in awhile and they have changed photobucket) Look at the size of this dog!!! Pre-scarf The scarf!!! They said this was him with his family!
  8. Hey........ HE'S ACROSS TOWN FROM ME!!! Hmmmm........ I'll see if I can't pick him up or take some pics of him, if he's there tomorrow. That is awesome! Take pictures if you do get him. I want to see the scarf and blanket.
  9. His post was a bit rude. I thought this one was also considering at the time this person logged the DNF on one of our caches they had 2 finds.
  10. Honestly the kindness in the world can just be amazing. I received an e-mail that the travel bug has been placed in a cache in Colorado. Since this cache is in a cold weather spot, they made a scarf and blanket for the smurf. The also said to tell my son HI. (Here I am at work starting to tear up again.........) I sure hope they post the pictures they promised. I would love to see the little guy all bundled up. So would Daniel. He has really started to enjoy this.
  11. Hi Steve, Congrats on your first find! Now you just have a tad over 1,000,000 more to go until you find the rest.
  12. Sorry about this, slow connection from work so I figured it did not go through, nope it went through twice!! I just wish I had something witty to say.
  13. 5 1/2 years on this little guy, the poof.... gone again. TB frog
  14. Curious about this little guy so I checked on it. You guessed it, it is missing from the cache I put it in. Bummer!!!
  15. Mods, thanks for the try are editing the title, whatever you do, do NOT merge these threads. CC, I found a bug that had gone missing for 5 years, so there is hope yet. You just don't want anything to happen to your kids stuff, I know how that is. GB and Pop, ain't it great to get a little sunshine in your life like that? Hopefully others who find it are just as nice. I figured, hey I really liked reading what people had written so why not pass it on. Oh and BTW, we used to foster puppies and kittens so now that we only have four dogs and two cats it seems like the house is almost empty... well at least manageable. Pop, now that is funny I don't care who you are. Except Daniel would say that we don't talk like that and that is no way to treat a pet. He keeps us on the straight and narrow. What can I say he has a pure heart of gold.
  16. HG, too funny. My mom had two cats called Lightning and Thunder.
  17. Scrabblers, you can look out for this one too. It should be headed in your area, depending on how close to Raleigh you are. Delivering a present Bit, All the more reason why we should celebrate those awesome people that took the time to post what they did.
  18. Look at how nice people are being for my son's travel bug. Daniels travel gnome. Make you realize there are some really nice people in this world. That of course would be "cry" not "crey" (Mods if you could change that it would be great!)
  19. OK don't mean to sound harsh so don't take it this way. But I looked at your profile and the area where you found your 3 caches and where you placed your other cache are pretty well cache free. In other words there are not many caches in that area, so my suggestion would be to place a cahce somewhere where it is clear. It seems like there are many places you could put a cache insted of worrying about placing one where there already is a cache.
  20. We ran across our first two fo these this weekend. When we saw where the first one was and then read the description a little more we passed. Even though it seems like the cache was in the CO's yard. We read the description on the other one and it seemed like it was real close to a house. We just moved on to the next cache. Thanks for remining me to put these on our ignore list.
  21. WOW that is interesing about the "dead zone" Understandable, but interesting.
  22. Look at my username and see if you can guess which way I am coming from. I have 2 caches found, my wife has 2 caches found, of the other 150 we have found them together. Her birthday was yesterday and we went caching with her brand new GPS that I got her as a present. I heard about geocaching last year and thought it would be a good thing to do with the kids, THEN I figured that my wife would like it more than my kids would. My son is autisitic so he does not enjoy the looking around part and my teenage daughter is horrified to think what would happen if someone saw her looking for a cache. My wife likes solving puzzles and we like to watch the Amazing Race. Sometimes it feels like we are on that show. We find that it is about the only chance we have to spend time together, and since we seem to like each other, I guess you can say it all works out.
  23. Did you dream-log them as DNFs? If not then you should do that tonight while you are sleeping.
  24. @ScottKaren: Cool Car in your avatar picture. A VW 181 that's the first car I was allowed to drive. (Long before I had a driving licence, so just on private property!) For trackables who gone MIA, there is a new service, its called TB-Rescue. You might want to check it out, the guy are currently working on / improving the English version. GermanSailor Thanks about the car. Over here in the states they called them "The thing." UPDATE on the TB. I was visiting my mom in AZ and placed it in a cache there. It is a fairly new and popular cache so hopefully someone will pick it up and continue it on it's journey. You know I looked at who had the TB and it was someone who quit caching soon after finding the bug. Then in May of this this year took it back up for a couple of weeks, but has not been back since.
