  1. Hey there, you might get better response rates if you post this on the northwest forums. Hope you aren't getting out of the "business".

Thanks for the suggestion Wrastro! I didn't think of the NW forums. I've posted this there as well.

Nah, although our caching has slowed down a bit, I'm trying to make a little room in the garage, aka the 'multi purpose' room.

I haven't seen too many of this type of ammo box. They have been in the family for years and were passed down to me. I think they would make great cache boxes!

  2. And here I thought it was just my slow dial-up connection causing something to time out.

I can't get to geocaching.com/my/default.aspx (get the error), but I can get to areas under my account by typing the URL (or linking from the history in my browser): geocaching.com/my/geocaches.aspx and .../my/watchlist.aspx etc.

I can get to my pocket queries (geocaching.com/pocket). PQ Link

    Win XP SP2, Firefox 2.0.0.11

Edit: to fix SP # (SP3 is for Office :-) )

Thank you for posting this link ... A great workaround while the good folks at Groundspeak fix the bug!

  3. Thanks CachemanCando, I received the one Palm today and everything is well. you packed it perfect and VERY FAST responce. All there and working great!!! good to do business with fellow cachers. eyes~~

All the PDAs have been spoken for. Thank you all for your interest and responses!

Paperless caching is a great way to go and worth the brainpower to get up to speed to do it!

    Cache On!

  4. Are these units using cachemate , or some other program ? Aprox. shipping to Texas , do you take paypal ?

I have been using these units with Cachemate ($8) on the PDA and GSAK ($20) on my computer.

It's a great team of software! GSAK has a free trial for 21 days and it's worth much more IMHO!

    Cachemate: http://www.smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/

    GSAK: http://www.gsak.net/

I will wipe all PDA data before shipping so the Cachemate application will be gone. It is easlily downloaded from the web and you can then name your PDA whatever you like.

You will need the Palm Desktop a free here: http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/win_desktop.html

I estimate shipping to TX $9 for flat rate priority, parcel post may be less. I will ship most cost effective method unless you are in a hurry.

I don't have a PayPal account to accept monies, so will have to do the ole snail mail and check route.

    Thanks for your interest!

  5. So yeah.. I'm tired of all the paper and ink and stuff, and I need to look at some good PDAs for paperless geocaching. Wireless internet would be a huge plus, but really, I'm just looking to see if there are any good deals. Thanks!

I've got an compaq ipaq model 3635 pocket pc. Comes with compact flash sleeve, usb sync/charger cord, desktop charger, and a targus foldable keyboard. Will probably need a battery since I haven't used it in a year. I paid $400 + for the unit. some wear and tear from normal use.

  9. I am looking to get a Megellan as I already have one and the software to go with it.

    GPSNow only deals with Garmin.

I can recommend Vanns in Montana. I have bought my two Magellans there. Quick service, decent price. Don't forget about Thales $30 - $50 rebate depending on what model Magellan you buy. Good luck and congrats of the wedding!
