  1. Working on my third adventure lab and have created the main page and one location and now when I go to create a second location, I enter all the information in and when I go to submit I am receiving an Error 500. I've cleared my browser cache, I've tried both Chrome and Firefox and still the same message. This has happened over the course of several days.
  2. Getting this repeatedly the last two days. Created the first stop no problems and now when I go to create a new stop and fill out all the info. Boom crash Error 500. Annoying to keep filling the same info in over and over and over again.
  3. It was automatically placed in Arkansas when published. Never updated the coordinates for it. Don't know when it magically changed to Delaware but I did not change it.
  4. Thank you I guess. My state reviewer could have done that but I think we were kind of waiting to see if there was some sort of glitch in the matrix first.
  5. Well it wasn't. I've never even been to Delaware and I definitely didn't repurpose a listing for a Delaware cache. When I created the cache and it was published it said Arkansas. Never edited the page and didn't even realize CO's could change the state and I most definitely didn't. All I did was archive it eventually.
  6. So, I had a fellow cacher point out one of my archived caches to me. He noticed he had a find from Delaware when he shouldn't have. So on this cache, https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8YB8D_rainbow-embassy?guid=9b219aa4-e4c7-49b2-be4a-45198d44b1f8 it shows correctly on the map, has correct coordinates, but says the location is in Delaware when it's in Fort Smith, Arkansas. That's a new one for me. I have no idea if it was like this the entire time and he was the first one that noticed, or if it is something that changed recently. All we know is it says Delaware, coords correctly show Arkansas and now he has a Delaware souvenir. Ideas on what happened here?
  7. Regarding Arkansas Geocacher's Association Tour of the Rock Adventure Lab: When I go to https://labs.geocaching.com/logs and view all of the labs I've completed it only shows 8 locations for this lab. However, when I view my completed labs from the app, it shows 10 locations and shows I've completed them all. Also when I click on labcaches in projectGC it shows all 10 locations completed. And on my geocaching profile page it has the correct number of finds. The only one that is off is the labs.geocaching.com page. Same for my husband, Pizzaboy2600. All of my other labs and find count matches, it's just this particular lab. Specifically it is missing Union Station and This Old State House.
  8. I, too, have been wondering about another Summer Challenge/Promo. There's been one for the last 3 summers and while at times I may have cursed it (every day in August in the south)...I've always enjoyed and looked forward to it. Hope there is another one this year, although it's getting a bit late. Perhaps they will do a Winter challenge? lol.

    Pi Day?

Is there a way for an individual to just get one or two of these? I'm interested in the green GeoSwag version. Thank yoU!
  10. In case you are interested in creating a Wherigo that requires no code. I highly recommend using RangerFox's Wherigo kit. Super simple to use!
  11. That is a very good way of wording it! I'm going to save this and use it if that's ok with you.
  12. We haven't had any drive-by events here in Arkansas that I know about, which is good. But we haven't had any events at any bars (that I can think of), which is bad. As far as Flash Mobs go, it takes alot of planning to pack 3 hours worth of fun into 15 minutes. I have been a flash mob host and attendee and there are usually clothing "requirements" and a dance or sing along or some form of activity. Cheesy, yes. But, IMHO, Fun! A great way to catch up with all my caching friends when we only have a few minutes to maybe get together. But I'm also a super huge fan of meet and eats too! And as others have stated. Everyone plays the game differently. There are rules and some break them. I just play for me.
  13. We are not an official organized group, but we have started a Facebook group for western Arkansas/eastern Oklahoma cachers called "We AR - E OK Cachers" Anyone is welcome to join. We have a lot of events in our area and since we're on the border, members often cache and attend events in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. Plus we thought the name sounded fun. We are ok cachers. Ha ha.
  14. Whether caching with a group or just with my husband (who has a separate account) we have always designated one person to send in the answers. Doesn't mean we don't make our own conclusions and observations. We usually discuss it together at the cache site. Depending on who is the most eager to log (meaning the quickest) or who takes the most detailed notes, that is usually who sends in the answers. I don't see how it's any different than group work in school. Get together, discuss the issue, come to conclusions, present group answer as one. I understand folks might take issue, but we've never had anyone say anything to us. Of course, maybe they wrote their letter, felt better and never emailed us.
  15. You were right! Didn't notice I needed to scroll yesterday but did this morning. I edited and removed the picture so that wouldn't be an issue for others. Thank you for your help!
  16. Sure can. I'll check it again in the morning. Thank you!
  17. It showed the answers and let me select one. had the pic tiny in the upper left. blank space. to the right and then the three answers. Should I just put the question in the info that shows after they reach the zone? I still want them to answer the question because that gives them the code for the final. I guess I could leave the question out completely and just pop up the coords after they reach the last zone?
  18. I just built my tour guide Wherigo in Wherigo//kit and everything looked perfect. Went out to test drive it and everything was working swimmingly until I get to my next to last stop and it pops up the info when they're in the zone then next it supposed to show a multiple choice question and answer. It popped up with the picture for the question and the multiple choice answers, but didn't show my question. It worked fine answering the right question and there on out. Just didn't show question. Am I doing something wrong? Ideas? This was using an iPhone to test out. Don't have a Wherigo compatible GPSr.
  19. Yes! Thank you for rules! We don't have many in our state and really wanted to get something going. I will probably disable one of my current caches to get this placed in an area that makes sense to the cartridge. Playing around with the Wherigo\\kit as well. Thanks both of your for timely answers!
  20. Questions I have my Wherigo almost completely built using Urwigo. As far as the cache the cacher goes to at the end to sign. Can it be an already existing cache of the Wherigo owner's (I wouldn't make it someone else's cache). Or does it have to be an on it's own cache just for the Wherigo? If it does have to be an on it's own cache does it still have to follow the so many feet rule? Figured it might not have to since it itself wouldn't be published and only used for Wherigo.
  21. Yeti is what mine is set to. I can see where I need to go and he encourages me by cheering me on. I love Yeti!
  22. Does there have to be a physical cache at the end of a Wherigo cartridge. I'm working on building 2 cartridges, both of which are guided historical tours around town. I am getting hard pressed to find a physical cache location and personally wouldn't care if there isn't one. Can I just do the tour with no physical cache? I'm guessing if I did that I should have an unlock code they have to have? I'm trying to read through all the forums and tutorials. Doing this in urwigo, but I really need a Wherigo for Dummies book. I wish this was a lot simpler to build. Thanks for any help you can give me!
  23. Following the directions for trying to upload a pic of a travel bug. I've resized the photo to where I think it's small enough. I log a description and go to upload it and when I do the file name disappears out of the box and the picture doesn't load. Ideas? Thanks! Took a really cute pic and want to upload it for the owner.
  24. Fiancee went after our first FTF this morning. He picked up a geocoin that was in the cache. He first logged that he had discovered the geocoin, but then we got it changed to grabbed it from the previous owner. Only thing is, is it's showing up as being in New Mexico and not here in Arkansas. How do we get the location to change...the cache creator for this particular cache apparenlty never logged that he had it or dropped it in the cache. Seems like when you go to log the tracking number there would be a place to say what cache it was found in or location or something. We're new, please help!
