  1. Right, dunno, many things not making sense in WM site these days.
  2. Images are back to me! Great!
  3. Still no images here. 5 days passed by now. * Chrome for Windows - No * Firefox for Windows - No * Chrome on Android - No At this point I am not willing to clear cookies, and I am intrigued by seeing such solution worked to someone else.
  4. I can't see images either with Chrome or Firefox. Can't do my daily cota of WM's, it sucks. yesterday and today.
  5. Actually no... there are a few categories there, and none is close to "freedom", which I find odd, but that's how things are.
  6. That sounds quite right and it comes with an added bonus: it will be my first in that category.
  7. iconions, my bad. As I know that category so well and it doesn't fit there, I failed to clear that out in my post. No, it's in Argentina. These situations made me think how many good categories are still missing. In a single post you made me think about "Communist Traces of the Paste" or something like that and "Victims of Totalitarism", for all marks of suffering in countries from all Latin America, to Africa, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, etc.
  8. Where would you insert a simple monument to the victims of a dictatorship ?
  9. Ah! For you :-) I truly dislike multiple WM's of the same thing. And I suspect most of my dislike comes from the mess it is to see a bunch of WM's of the same thing when, centuries ago, I thought about using Waymarking to help me prepare my trips. It just made me quit the idea. No fun in browsing two pages full of the same place in different categories. So, these days I only create WM's and when I do that, I submit to what I think is the most significant category. Or the one I like the most.
  10. Yes, by Rodin. As originals I mean, one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Thinker_sculptures In my case, the one in Buenos Aires. Thanks for the suggestion, I will make it tomorrow :-)
  11. Right. A good illustration of the people some categories have as officers. Another one to my blacklist restrict group.
  12. Ah I suspected that, but good to know for sure. Problem with votes it's the exaggerated long period it can take.
  13. What do you mean which category? It's the title of the topic :-) Now... attaching the "horrible" picture which caused the declining. Look at the trees around and the height of the statue. Only with a drone this can be improved.
  14. Just wondering what's the situation of a WM I submitted. It was initially declined on account of the main picture not being good enough. It happens that due the layout of the place it will be the best possible, so I resubmitted with this explanation and didn't hear about it since then.
  15. Any of the gentlemen here is an officer in Equestrian Statues category?
  16. Options to create a WM of a statue of Rodin in a public area of Buenos Aires? It's actually one of the originals of The Thinker.
  17. Nopes, not that one. Of course I searched by "market". The most annoying thing is I think I created some WM's with old covered markets.
  18. I was under the impression that there was a category for covered markets, which are so interesting and charming in Europe, specially the oldest ones. However I can't find it right now. Any of you recalls seeing such a category?
  19. I remember someone reporting the sad news by then.
  20. Me. Because I can and anyways I am not very social. I am not in a group of risk. I am 54 and generally healthy. However I have serious doubts about the general policy adopted in most countries under the advise of WHO. Not saying the fellows are morons, but they are focused on their field. Health. Just happens the world, I mean, human world, is something more complex, with many factors, and while trying to fix health with all our powers, we might be jeopardizing it long term by destroying other pieces which are needed to support the whole health system. I had a ticket to return home from Brazil, on the 29th March. That would mark three complete months of a trip through South America. I thought it would be wise to antecipate this and manage to change tickets, so I flew two days ago from Buenos Aires. That was the right thing to do. I guess if I waited two days more I would be stranded in the wrong side of the Atlantic.
  21. I see people write in this topic like, "no, no, I like WM more than GC" and so... well, that's clear. You are here. There a few dozen. One hundred? Not much more. In the whole world. That's the point for reflection. I read the words "depressive thoughts". This is like saying a doctor is having depressive thoughts because he is analyzing a disease. It's not depressive, it's curiosity by the facts. Razalas, actually, before posting this, I checked your latest WM. Either I saw it wrong or it was months old. Cerberus1, I am not fully aware of what those locationless were. I have a deep deep memory of something with that name. For some reason I can't recall they were not my cup of tea, unlike the virtual, now fortunately revived in a controlled way (as should be all the caches). That's what I asked to be brought back and they were. "I think the drop out rate isn't unique to Portuguese hobbyists." ---- Perhaps not unique, but for a reason the country dropped in the ranking from the 5th position to the 10th or so.
  22. I was about to report the same. "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
  23. Oh man, WM was a flop from the beginning, and in the beginning not one of those reasons would make sense. Anyway, as I said, we all know plenty of reasons, that's not the point :-) Waymark has a strange effect on people, they just aren't teased by the concept, and that truly puzzles me.
