Hi neighbor. Same as me. Been a while since I've been on here or out in the wild. I'm in the 42003 area.

Not really new, started officially in July '04, but it had been a while since I'd been out caching. Logged on a couple days ago and wow, the website has changed a lot, for the better. Downloaded the Android app and wow, I thought the old Windows Phone app was pretty good, and that was a couple years ago. Went out the last two days using my phone and my old blue Garmin etrex Legend. Then I noticed why I quit using my Garmin. After a while the screen goes blank with a vertical line on the screen. Have to pull a battery to turn it back on. If anybody has seen this and knows of a fix, I'd gladly welcome your suggestion. My phone works really really well, it just kills the battery though. So now I've been researching a replacement GPSr. I've flip-flopped between the etrex Venture HC and etrex 20x. Finally decided on the 20x, pretty much cause I like the orange color, lol (old SAR mentality coming out). My son enjoys it, so the more I can keep him outside, off the video game/s, the better! The only Geosphere app I see is a game. Are you sure about the name of the app? I just installed the official GC app and found it really easy to use.

OK, I've read the guide for pocket querries and still am having trouble. I've tried every combo possible with the querry and still get no results. Can somebody explain in idiot terms how to get results from the querry. I know for a fact there are caches in my area that meet the criteria I request. Thanks. Edit: I think I found my problem. I think I was specifiying too many types of caches to look for. But if anybody has any tips, feel free to post them.

I need to pick your brains. I have Cachemate loaded on my Palm IIIe. Now, how do I get the webpage of the cache I want onto my Palm. I'm trying to go paperless, but not quite sure of everything. Do I need to run a Pocket Query and add the caches I want? So far the only option I have on running Pocket Queries is for caches I've already found. Help please!!! brasda91

Give UTM a chance. You can find instructions on how to use UTM on the internet. Once you start understanding UTM, I think you'll like it more than lat/long. As far as accurate, my opinion is that they are equally accurate.

Does anybody know if there is an external antenna, that you could attach to your windshield or on the roof of your vehicle, for the garmin etrex legend that plugs/slides into the same slot as the data cable? If so, where can I purchase it? Price?
