I'm new-ish, having found 70. Two pointers stand out to me. First one has already been stated:...when you get within a few feet, put the GPS away and look around. Also, there is some crazy clever camo out there. I used to look at something and think in my mind "I wonder if...." but wouldn't check. After getting burned by that a few times, I take NOTHING for granted. If you look and something comes to your mind, check it out. Put your hand on it, feel around, pick it up....investigate.

I'm brand-spanking new to Geocaching. I went out with a small group of friends yesterday. We ended up buying the iPhone app which was a tremendous help! But as we logged our finds, and especially when we decided we wanted to hide one, a feature not found on the website came to mind. We'd like the ability to log a cache together, or move a trackable item together, or hide a cache together. Instead, we each had to log our find, one person could log the moving of a trackable item, and one person could submit a cache for hiding. (I was kind of sad that I wouldn't be credited with hiding one; only my friend.) So my question is: is there a way to do that that we missed? Or how do people who like to geocache with friends go about logging it as a team or together in some way?
