  1. Here are some screenshots of other areas - if you would like a screenshot of a particular area from the PC let me know! Ido not have Scotland loaded in the unit. ...... If your area of Scotland is covered in these Discoverer maps you get the up to date routeable maps for all UK as well:- https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=358...174#coverageTab http://www.maps-warehouse.co.uk/garmin-discoverer-1-25.html See my thread on this website on the Discoverer maps. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...verer&st=50
  2. Installed - No problem. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4393
  3. I obtained the update DVD from Garmin Europe then I unlocked it. So I have never bought the full DVD! Until I cleared these options I nearly threw it in the bin, but you said you had cleared these!
  4. I use the Non-NT because:- 1-there have always been complaints on its use in the UK on certain units 2-I have three units [2 x iQue3600 and the Oregon] and the iQues cannot use the NT but most Garmin can use Non-NT. 3-The Map tiles are sometimes very big on the NT As a result I can use the same mapping on all three units.
  5. Remember, do not use old routes, start new ones. For CN v2009 try removing all avoids on the PC and unit.
  6. In the UK we have 10,000+ speed cameras usually updated each week. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?...p=462492#462492 As Canada has so few [as yet] in the database you can submit them for your Country here:- http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?...op=SubmitCamera It takes a short time each week to download - load to unit with Garmin's POI Loader.
  7. 30 seconds to copy all from one .gpx file to another. 'Select All' - Copy - Paste Then transfer to the unit as normal.
  8. Open up the new .gpx file. Copy and paste all the waypoints into the original mapsource.
  9. I too have had problems [now sorted] with v2009. I had the the most appalling auto-navigation routes on the PC and Oregon with v2009. I forgot to redesign my routes for the UK and Europe and loaded the old from v2008. They will rarely work, you have to start again. Another bug is that your routing options will create problems - removed all my avoids [on PC and unit] and now things are OK Wasted hours! Watch if you have vias in routes [say on a slip road] the roads have changed position on the new v2009.
  10. It could be the OPTIONs on the Mapsource on your PC. My iQue does the same route as my PC. [set up on the unit]
  11. I posted the problems in #69 above and little has changed with 6.15.4. I cannot select the categories - it shows all. Huge icons and still the stretched maps West to East!
  12. It was posted in that other thread [#96] by CenTexDodger at 2:08pm yesterday and here at 8:30pm but it is a good idea to stay with the comments on 6.15.4 HERE
  13. I have not found a way to view area covered by each SD card. I was delighted with the area covered in the Pembrokeshire Coast Path SD card compared to the Pembrokeshire and Brecon National Park. The 1:50 area is really useful! When you move out of the area covered by 1:50 you have the CityNavigator Maps for all the UK. I have the TOPO and do not find it any good - paths are missing.
  14. The Garmin Dicoverer National Parks has been discussed but I now have aquired the Discoverer Trails for The Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Look how big an area I get at 1:50 scale as well as the whole of the path at 1:25! A far better coverage of one area
  15. I gave you a link. Set up your Garmin Account and it is straight forward then. They give you an unlock code for your particular unit. Go back to Mapsource and unlock the unit and then try selecting one maptile and sending it to the SD card with a card reader. If it works then load the areas you need [no point in loading Europe if you only want London]
  16. You have to visit My Garmin to unlock the maps to the unit as well as on the Computer. https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces
  17. As far as this forum is concerned we have been discussing the new firmware since the 22nd January and post #61 in this thread!
  18. In post #72 above/below I list the problem you mention.
