FYI, if you want to buy the car charger, and you want to save some money, this is what I did. Buy the car adapter for PDA (a device where it has the cigarette lighter plug on one end and a USB socket on the other) which will cost you less than USD$10, and then use the computer interface cable provided with the package and connect one end to the 'charger' and the other to your GPS and viola! Save the wires you have around.

Does the new software update solve this prolem?

I have a huge huge problem here. Not so huge actually. But this has been bugging me. Everytime I tried to geocache, I'll use my legend C to route to the cache and follow the direction to drive to the place. After getting close to the place, I'll have to park and get out of my car to walk to the cache, thus have to switch from the road navigation mode to the normal mode. This is where the problems started. When I arrived at the destination, the GPS will not show that I have arrived and stop navigation. (Due to the accuracy problem I guess) After I switch the routing off, the unit just hangs and it would just show the position where I had pressed 'Stop Navigation'. Only choice I had was to switch the GPS off and on again to get it to start working. I'm not sure if I'm the only one to have this problem though since I'm gadget-illiterate. Tried emailing Garmin 2 weeks again but no reply. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I just purchased a legend C and I have a problem here. I've tried to play the games however I cannot move the cursor! Either I'm an idiot or the unit is faulty. I've tried updating with the latest firmware but to no avail. Help please?

I've tried and successfully able to upload stuff into my Mag GPS which isn't Mapsend product. And it's not waypoints and routes but maps.

Another way of contacting Magellan is throught their website in the Support section where you can send them an email. They'll reply you through email as detailed as they can.

I'm not an expert at Trimble Outdoors' adventure planner but I've tried it. I've tried to get maps loaded into my Magellan Sportrak Color and it could not do that. It can only upload maps into the nextel phone. However, what it can do for Magellan and Garmin GPS units is uploading of waypoints and routes. As I said, I've tried but failed but probably a SME might be able to give more help than me.

I'm trying to create the map of Singapore. Got most of it settled. However need some help from Mikhail and need to find out how to convert it to .img format. Anyone can help me with the conversion? Don't look forward too much to it though since it's gonna be of a substandard quality

Well... there's another option. Kind people have created maps and posted them on the internet (Mapcenter). However, that's for Garmin units. Fortunately for us Magellan GPS users, another kind person, Mikhail, has on the website (MSH-TOOLS) a method to convert the .img file from Mapcenter for use in a Magellan GPS. Thanks a lot guys for all your effort!

I'd say it's a good deal! I used to have a Merigreen (Magellan Meridian GPS that has a green case) but I left it a i rented car in St Louis and was never to be seen again.... 1 drawback of this unit is that the basemap is very very limited. However, you can get the detailed Mapsend softwares from $25+ onwards in ebay and that'd cover up that shortfall. 1 thing I like about this unit is the ability to use an SD card to store more information as compared to some units which have a fixed memory.

Which GPSRs do you guys use in Singapore? I've got a Sportrak Colour but I bought it in US. Does the mapping GPSRs bought in s'pore have e Singapore basemap?
