  1. Can anyone explain why when I type in a local post code for North East England it comes up in Nebraska? I know Nebraska is somewhere in the States but I have no intention of ever visiting there. The housing estate was only constructed a mere 40 years ago. Surely it should be in the system by now?
  2. The companies in America regularly take the p*$$ when it comes to favouring themselves. The number of companies that will only post to America and Canada is scandalous. The postage costs when they do bother themselves is just as bad. I recently purchased some RFID equipment to interface with a home automation server. They initially refused to post to Britain but when I'd saved enough to purchase the goods they were offering a "super saver delivery" of $85! Ultimately I asked a friend over there to forward it on for me costing £11 for postage to Florida and £9 (including insurance) to have it forwarded here. The extra three days was well worth the saving of $65! I'd love to be able to claim that this is an isolated incident but it's far from the case. It feels as though unless you're an American you're viewed as a second class citizen. It's shocking.
  3. DING!! (Sorry for the late confirmation...... don't ask)
  4. If nothing else, it says that I'm a clinical insomniac. According to the Chinese zodiac, we are currently in the year of the.......?
  5. In response to your first question - favourite. It's not our fault the founding fathers couldn't spell! In response to your second, Arthur Warburton in the 1860's if my friend's failing memory serves him well.
  6. They used to get the bear drunk until it passed out before attempting to shave it.
  7. A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat!
  8. Damned refresh - double posted. Where's the delete on this forum?
  9. They can't smile either, and their staff knock your motorbike over! I certainly don't trust them with my e-mail address.
  10. Sorry, no. Clue: If anyone's not worked it out, The Pig Lady was at a carnival.
  11. Wouldn't work if it was attached to the TB or coin. Passive RFID (tags without batteries) don't work when attached to metal - it interferes with the EM field.
  12. I've already put some groundwork in to combining RFID tags as part of a multi/puzzle. You'd need a Bluetooth device, WiFi device and an EM4102 125Khz tag reader to complete the cache. I'm willing to lend out a USB driver free dongle to read the tags once they're found if anyone's interested when the cache goes live.
  13. I already have an RFID enabled geocoin. Just haven't yet had the chance to place it anywhere.
  14. Didn't have a choice back then. These days it seems all I'm destined to watch is CBeebies! Moving on... Who was the pig lady?
  15. Genesis of the Daleks was brilliant. The whole race coming from the genetically modifications of Davros's race - the Kaleds. Just think how much easier life would have been had the Doctor stopped him back then. I loved the Three Doctors and later the Five Doctors, they are probably my favourites from the classic series'. (I have all of the Doctor Who's from An Unearthly Child to Planet of the Dead.)
  16. Tom Baker is the favourite Doctor Who. Personally, I like Jon Pertwee from the classic series and Christopher Ecclestone from the newer ones but that's just me.
  17. Sure the pick up's totalled but we got the FTF!
  18. That was an early one so it's either Dr No or From Russia With Love. I'd guess at FRWL but I'm not 100%. As for the character / actress I have no idea. Probably someone named Ivana Killalott
  19. Ogri is a cartoon 'biker'... a huge guy who rides a Vincent engined cafe racer. He has a dumb mate, Malcom but when he first appeared.... I think it might have been the first issue of 'Bike' magazine but when...? I'll hazard a guess at 1970. Jeez, you're good! 1979 is the exact year and Malcolm is Ogri's cousin, but given the extra detail you've provided you have to get the... DING!
  20. Erm... okay. Who is Ogri and when did he make his first public appearance?
