  1. Got the horse and dog sitters all lined up so we'll be there Friday and Saturday... we live just a couple of hours away so I wouldn't even [/i]think of missing this .
  2. Awww, I'm jealous! I got way too busy with some volunteer work that I do and missed out on placing my order. They sure sound cute though.... hope you share a pic when you receive yours. The first semi-personalized coin I participated in was the Geocaching Top 40... looks like a tiny vinyl record. We got to choose our label color, "song title" and "band name". Still trying to come up with a design for my personal coin... sigh.
  3. Wow, another beautiful daisy! I'll have to add this one to my "wish list" along with one of the other 2008 coins. (Missed out as I couldn't afford a 5 pack due to a very large, unanticipated vet bill). Great color combo!
  4. LOL, I love that enthusiasm! Congratulations on receiving such a great coin! Truly a great gift .
  5. Thanks for the update... looking forward to seeing them in person .
  6. I'll send you my number, we can talk horses That outta loosen your tongue and mine Ah yes... get me started on horses... but then who'll shut me up?
  7. We're going to GW6 and hope to make it to the coin party afterwards. I'm also somewhat shy about being amongst so many people... since I'm more of a lurker here and seldom post, I haven't "met" that many people. DH and I will be working in the TB area from noon to 2 (LOL, I think that's when we're there), so hopefully we'll get a chance to say hello and meet some people from the forums.
  8. I agree with this 110% - It's all about common courtesy and honesty. I've argued in past threads that a gift coin given to me, belongs to me. However, that does not mean that I would not respect the 'intent' of the gift. Of course if I did accept a gift coin that had conditions (I wouldn't really call it a gift though but that's semantics) then I feel I am bound to live up to those conditions. So, if I were thinking of selling one of these coins I would let the "gifter" know about it first and why I feel the need to sell it - only because I think it's just common courtesy. There is nothing wrong with being courteous and honest and it doesn't hurt---really it doesn't. I agree... it IS all about common courtesy and honesty, which sadly seems to be in short supply at times. As an example... I had been offered a trade by someone for a coin I had really wanted. It was a flawed coin, but none-the-less I wanted it and was eager to trade. In short order the person realized they could get a better "deal" than what was offered to me and they backed out of the trade. Is it a lack of ethics... is it greed... selfishness... I don't know. "Trust your friends, but brand your cattle". But, back to the original question. A gift with conditions, to me, seems more of a loan. However, I DO respect the requests of the person kindly gifting a coin to me because I accepted the coin with the "stipulations".
  9. OH NO! Just got in from a fire evacuation and saw this! Trying to get an order in quickly! Phew! Made it... Thanks Paula .
  10. 815... 'cause I'm watching Lost now
  11. 764 sounds good to me.... but then any # that wins would sound good!
  12. LOL, learning a lot of interesting little tidbits of information from this thread. For my next guess.... 88.
  13. IMHO quality is well worth the wait! And these look to be awesome coins!
  14. Dimkasmir, if my path tag looks like one you'd want, send me an email with your address and I'll get one in the mail to you. (the tag artwork is my current avatar).
  15. In a word... YES! I've been trying to cut back on my coin purchases but your coins are a must have for me .
  16. Smort78, Thanks for posting the link to the Abomination coin. I just ordered a couple, but what really cracked me up is the description of the book on the cache page.... "A serial killer mutilates his victims, leaving the bodies at various geocaching sites with obscure religious references. When the killer targets Eve Andreakos, a woman he holds responsible for his wife's death, she barely escapes with her life. Eve flees to Rock Harbor with 2 year old Keri. Eve has just begun to relax when she and her friend Bree stumble on a mutilated body at a geocaching site" What makes this funny to me is that my name is Eve, and my frequent caching partner is Bre (close, eh?). So I'm ordering the book too. Thanks again for the post!
  17. Wonderful words to hear! :::: getting out trenchcoat and preparing for the search :::: C'mon fall .
  18. Dardevle, I have Very Super Special Secret Agent Assistant #191 standing by (well, hoovering) ready and willing to assist you in your mission. Given VSSSAA's attributes, perhaps flying a reconnaissance mission would provide valuable information? Awaiting orders....
  19. LOL, you might have too much time on your hands, but that's one of the best GSA stories and pics that I've seen! Here's hoping there'll be another installment from you soon!
  20. And I thought it was bad enough that coins, tags, and/or TB's are stolen from caches.... what a shame to have to be on your guard now at events. Here's hoping someone is honest enough to return the tags... even individual ones.
  21. Yet another beautiful TSD coin! Email sent for a couple .
  22. My real hearts desire would be a 2008 Turtle... but, being more realistic, I'd love to get my hands on a Ham Radio coin (just became a Ham last November), or a California Grizzly micro. Guess I've been pretty lucky... I already have a Yime .
  23. Wow, stunning and cool at the same time! Another "must have" .
