  1. Hey George, you're right...they DID find it at night...hey...I FOUND SQUIRRELS STASH at NIGHT TOO ! Look out for ME and Morris ! ****************** On the other hand, George is getting so TICKED (kind of like LO) that he can't find them, that he is getting NASTY in the way he places them ! The game is heating up ! ******************* Mike...I might want to get together with you. My schedule has me teaching starting at 5 pm on Monday and Wednesday and I'm totally free on Fridays. Sometimes a tutoring session gets in the way on MW. T Th I start teaching at 2:45 so that pretty much rules out those days. You could show me how YOU find them so well ! ******************** Well, NOW I think I have a reason for getting a cell phone. This would give LO and George the chance to call me to beg a clue for those caches they can't find, and for ME to call George and say "You sorry sack of beans. Where is that cache?" All in fun.....Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.

Not trying to offend anyone there..I am referring to myself as the idiot! Have a good day! Jaimee Thanks for clearing up that last part LO...as long as you are willing to take responsibility for your INABILITY, I have no problem with it ! Look at it this way...I was at Ripon Cache 3 times (I think), George was at Squirrels Stash 4 times (count 'em ... FOUR times) and here you guys are at a cache HIDDEN by someone who found Ripon the first time out ! There's a message here folks and it's....look out for Mike Morris ! I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.

  4. ....I hope I have it ! Actually, though I would love to beat LO/F and George to this cache, my schedule the next few days probably won't allow it. Getting the brakes on the Explorer looked at today and my teaching/tutoring schedule cuts out a morning/afternoon run for this and the new ones over the next few days. But at least if I find it in the first shot, I will have beat those two by finding it in one outing ! ************* I think Mike and Carolyn must be pretty good finders. They have found several that have stumped the rest of us on the first go around. ************** LO...helped Ron out? Give me a break! You're worn out from all those tick bites ! *************** George...do you think a trip to your Del Puerto Creek cache for a check is warranted? Due to circumstances there I think that might be the case. Happy caching all.....Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  5. ....says to Bug #2: Have you heard of that feast going on in Ceres? Bug #2: Let's Go ! I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  6. ....what is a NORMAL container? I have sitting on my desk a container that holds 2 film cannisters. Is THAT a normal container. I don't think so. If I were to use this container I would make some comment in the cache description about its physical dimensions or would say ..."it's big enough to hold two film cannisters." To see an example of this, look up the description of my PEANUTUS GIGANTICUS cache which I placed several months ago. There has been SOME discussion of this in forums on geocaching.com even including the comment that a new category should be added. The reply I remember was ......keep it simple...and .... just add a note in the description. I certainly agree with the last part. The reason I mention this is I feel that if the normal size is attached, it gives me an indication to look for something at least a quart or two quarts in size. That would prevent me from looking in smaller crevices, etc. I know we all struggle to give good coordinates, good clues and this is one more element. We can misdirect people by doing poorly on any one of these things. Finally, I KNOW I have probably violated all three of these areas in the past, but I hope to be as accurate as possible in the future and hope other cachers will let me know when I've led them astray. Any thoughts? I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  7. Hi LO... Both families were non-cachers....just folks out with the kids having picnics, hanging out. When Rockdean came on the scene I saw him from a distance checking GPS. He started talking to the family who were moving in at that point. I shouted to him "GPS" and we got together and started a joint search then split again. The family took up residence at the cache site and that was all she wrote for us. Rockdean was in a hurry to move on to his airplane hobby and just throught he would drop in for a quick look. There are four other caches up the canyon and I had already found two of them, so I went on to find the remaining two in hopes the area of this cache would be clear when I came back. Instead, the first family had looted the cache pretty much and the second family had found it out of its place. They were nice and we got it back into its proper hiding place. Sorry you didn't find more. I haven't looked the two up yet. If I read the notes above correctly you were on scene at one and then George came and found it quickly; then I think you both had looked for another one (unsucessfully) and Kevin had found it (easily?). We know what that's like ! I had a satisfying but tiring day. I cleaned up three I couldn't find before and found another 5 I hadn't looked for before. I've got to quit those long days though. Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  8. ....Del Puerto Creek is posted ! Now can I take a break? Thanks ! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  9. ....full of caching, hiking and of course...driving. Well the old Oz fan only found one...let's see..yes, that's right I found eight and that puts me at 197. Looks like the magic 200 is coming up fast. Today I had several adventures, one of them a big one. I found: Del Puerto Canyon (George's new one) (FTF) Thank Frank Judson Forever (I had found the others in the park before) Then on to: Egrets No Regrets Slithering (both of these were 2nd visits) Then on to: Obezag Smell The Roses Ripon (3rd visit) It was a long day...200 plus miles of driving and I am tired. I haven't posted any of them yet. Just a quick note or two: Rockdean showed up 30 minutes into my search for Del Puerto Canyon and he agreed to let me have FTF as he didn't actually retrieve it. A big story here that I will publish in the find log. I will also email George (or call him) as there are extra details for his ears only. Also some unusal happenings at Obezag and Smell The Roses, so guys you have some interesting reading to do. Don't know if I'll get them all done tonight. Gotta go....Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  10. delete of duplicate note. I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  11. ....if I read the posts above properly..... Jaimee went to the wrong one ! Oh well, what can you expect from someone who is TICK BAIT! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.

  13. ....the server end. I tried it at about 3 and it wouldn't come up. Wait awhile and try it again. Anyway, LO, what do you care about it? You couldn't find it anyway! Ron (uh, oh...watch out...fur will fly) I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  14. ....just remember to make them ELARGEMENTS ! I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.

  16. No George not the one you took "up close and personal" at Tuolumne Big Tree, but the Squirrels Stash hunt. Little hard to see the people (except for their backsides and elbows) as they wallow around in the green. Hey guys, did I mention my neighbors keep coming over and wondering why there's so much laughter coming from my house> Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  17. ....thanks for the great idea. Until you've seen a nudist completely decked out in a hanglider harness you haven't lived, but my personal favorite is the rapelling (no not repelling) view at Mercer Caverns. Ron P.S. When can I expect that "naturist" cache to come about? I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  18. ...I have something in common with a 14 year old. I don't know what I want to do today either. I AM moving slowly and joints go snap-crackle-pop when I stand up, but not overly sore from the hike. My main problem is decision making at this point, so here goes...actually mow the lawn (or maybe tomorrow); defintely going to Panic Room late this afternoon or this evening. That leaves the middle of the day...I think I'm just going to goof around Stockton today and maybe go caching on Sunday after planning out a route that gets me 5 or 6 caches. There is Obezag of course and I need to do cleanup on Slithering and Egrets...worried about Egrets as I spent a lot of time there. So LO, I think I've decided to not cache today. If you two(3) go out today, have a great time ! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.

  20. Hey Pat...congrats on the 50th ! (and George too on his RECENT #100 !). Those are certainly events worth noting and I'm starting to plan my next 11 cache hunts so I find a good one for my #200. Chuguy in the Danville area has some great, challenging and well-crafted cache hunts. I think I've recommended his Stumped and Stumped Again to you guys. Once you see these, you will think Tupperware is like a plastic easter egg ! Of course if the junior squirrel-hunters were to come up with something that was REALLY challenging for my #200 it would be hard to resist. Going out today LO? Man, I'm still recovering from that 5 mile walk to 3 easy llamas. Haven't decided what to do yet. The lawn need mowing...yeah that's what I'll do. Ron P.S. LO, what finds were deleted? I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  21. Hey George... I've just checked my 500 feet of climbing rope, 75 pitons, rock pick, canoe, parafoil, hang-glider, Hummvee, scuba gear, dirtbike, hotair balloon, highwire balance pole and lion-taming chair, so I THINK I'm ready for any challenge you might present, but I'm open to investing in a minature sub too if necessary. Re, scarcity of caches in your area...well, there's always southern California ! Ron (the squirrelmeister) I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  22. .....those cute little critters that hide things in the forest and then go back later to collect them ! Actually, when I said "squirrels? I got 'em" I was referring to the squirrels stash that I got, not the fellow cachers I fooled...but that works too ! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  23. I hate rocks ! I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  24. ....what goes around, comes around. Well, I guess I will just have to suffer the slings and arrows that will be coming my way someday....on the other hand, I have to tell you that YES, I am a great actor ! I maintained the "charade" for an HOUR while you folks seriously looked for this cache, and now I am comfortably at home and ROTFLMAO ! Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
  25. Bring 'em on...uh oh, that might sound like a challenge to the Southern 3....now I'M dead meat ! Ron
