Thanks. Yes, I've got a ton of caches we've earmarked to find in and around Yellowstone. We are very excited about visiting this area. We are flying into Billings, so I thought, well....maybe we can find an earth cache in Montana.
-
I'm going to Yellowstone this summer and can't find any Earth Caches in Montana. I looked on some of the bookmark lists for USA earth caches, but no luck. Are there any?

I nominate Geek-Qualizer!!!!!!!!!!! He has been extremely helpful to anyone who asks for help. He stays out of the politics and has shown great character.

I like the 12 smiley icons that someone listed earlier.

I found one in a Houston-area cache - and it was near an airport. WHOO HOO! I never got one of the Santa coins. Thank you, Geocoin Fairy!

Icon, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When can we expect an icon for this coin????

The owner didn't do it right, as the coordinates can be edited on the cache page (by the cache owner). Simply use the "Edit listing" link on the right-hand side of the page, and click the "You can modify your cache coordinates via a log entry" link. It will do it as a log entry like you suggest, but also change the coordinates at the top of the page.
As a cache owner you can still only move the cache up to a few hundred feet, anything after that you would need a reviewer's assistance.
Thanks. I've forwarded your text to the owner of the cache.

I don't know when this change happened, but a cache owner can no longer edit the coordinates of their cache. The option offered now is to post a note telling what the new coordinates are. I tried finding one recently and it was a big DNF - Big Ditch (GCW1BN). After reading the logs, the owner had posted a note saying that the coordinates that they had submitted were wrong and here are the right coordinates. Well, the right and wrong coordinates were quite different. Does this mean that before we go out and find a cache, we have to scroll down and read all of the logs to make sure that the owner hasn't posted a log with the right coordinates? That would certainly be a big pain in the behind.

Today, I got the Earth geocoin that you sent to me. Thanks!

I agree with Embra. The inside threads on my eX600 stripped as well. The screw was just too short to reach the good threads... but if you removed the screw and inserted it into the unit, the screw threaded properly.... Since the screw didn't get shorter, it appears that the threads had worn. I purchased the windshield mount and highly recommend it. I also recommend sending the unit in for repair if it is still under warranty. Magellan needs to be brought to task for their poor engineering of the data/power hookup.
Someone on the Houston Geocaching Forum had a similar problem with his Explorist 500. He removed the small washer from the cable connector and now he can attach it to the GPS. I did the same thing and had success as well.

Has anyone tried the universal battery charger that Escout sent the link for? I have an Explorist 600. I am having big time problems attaching the cable to the back of the GPS unit. I think the threads on the unit are stripped or something. So I need a battery charger for the Magellan 3.7 volt Li-ion battery. Does this kind of thing exist? Any advice?

I got my nut geocoin in the mail yesterday. Love it! But it didn't come with an activation code. Where can I get that?

I mailed you a Team Thorny geocoin today. Can't wait to see where it travels to!!

Apparently, I've been slow to realize that I haven't received my weekly geocaching newsletter on my comcast email account. I'll be calling them tomorrow but have no confidence that they'll be able to resolve it. Sigh.
