I was carrying than situations where I wished I was carrying when I wasn't. The only practical conclusion I can come to is I was deliberately putting myself into those "glad" situations because I was carrying. Sounds like you made the right decision not to carry anymore, it makes it hard on the rest of us when people go looking for trouble just because they have a gun.

So, your just going to ignore the request of the host? If it was my event I and I found out I would ask you to not attend any more of my events. When it comes to protecting my self and my family I will protect them, if that means not going to that event then so be it but if the host asked you not to wear your seatbelt when driving to the event would you? If they ask you to do something unsafe would you do it just because they asked?

Is this a recent change? This site seems to indicate otherwise. A Google search brings up several groups lobbying for open carry, but nothing indicating Texas is open carry without a permit. I just took CCL course and they said Texas is not a open carry state. Sounds like bad info...

I agree, for such a creative group of people it seems like we could do better than "borrow" a term such as this. Maybe my GPS is powered by The Force and we should all Live long and prosper... :-) I don't see a need to be to serious about our game but also don't feel the need to talk in Harry Potter lingo either. I have used the term non gamer before and it worked ok. In the big picture, not that big of a issue but it can make you feel silly as an adult talking to anyone older than twelve years old.

I carry a Maxpedition Fatboy versipack and it is really great, very heavy duty bag and is packed full of all sorts of stuff. I have a first aid kit folding knife GPS a log and pens swag bag paper map and compass my ham radio multi tool and mini screw drivers lighter a towel Spare batteries walking stick I would really to add a small pry tool a rite in the rain notebook and pen nice gloves

While not anywhere near as cool as the coins, I would love to find one, I have been leaving a band-aid in the caches I find. I am a paramedic and it seemed like a fitting calling card. :-)

Sure some of my post sound the same, we are new so have only found a hand full of caches anyways. Do you think all the acronym use is uninspired too?
