  1. Got my invoice and paid. I'm very anxious to receive these beautiful coins! Thanks for offering them again.
  2. No, it didn't take me a month to come up with a response, I just hadn't seen your latest tirade until yesterday! We are talking two different issues but it seems you have the same attitude for either. I merely asked where to get an activation code and you jumped down my throat about how I should have seen it in a previous response. Then you didn't like my comment that my coin had an imperfection so you proceed to talk down to me about that. You have no right to do that and if you do, expect a comeback from me every time. I had no issued with getting my coin, it came in a reasonable amount of time. I absolutely think if you would just grin and bear it and hold your temper, most of your ills would not have materialized. You cannot expect to vent your anger on these forums and not expect some grief back. This is my last comment on the subject. I like your coin and bought two, one just had a slight imperfection and I kept it and am fine with it.
  3. Thanks for not reading the post. I'll add your 2cents to the rest. God I could almost pay tuition at the local community college. As far as allaboutcoins goes no you don't have the potential to be a customer. They are getting out of the geocoin business. Ya the code should have been sent with the coin. Thats my fault. ALL COIN CODES ARE THE SAME "igomicro07". I'm also sorry you are not happy with your coins. If you want you can send them back to me and I'll give you a full refund. I've got about 50 other people that want one after they have seen them. I've also got one on ebay right now selling for 8.50 and has 2 days left. I thought the quality was good for the detail and it being a MICRO. Don't take anything I'm saying personal. Your complaint was very mild in comparison to some of the emails I got. Ya i'm kind of in a bad mood. I hope this hasn't caused to many people heartache. I tried. Cachanova I have no idea what you mean about not reading the post, what does that mean? What does your ability to pay tuition to college have to do with this situation? There is absolutely no reason for you to jump at me, I actually like the coins but one of them is not the quality that I have come to expect. I'll keep mine but for you to cop an attitude because we are asking for the code for this coin is unacceptable! We purchased this coin and we have every right to have the activation code. I have it now and I can continue on. With all the attitude that I have encountered over this coin, I'll definitely think twice about purchasing a coin from you or from allaboutcoins. I'm sorry that you feel you have been attacked but from the tone of the above response, perhaps you can blame yourself for at least part of that. And now we know Why I labeled this thread OH BOY. Where to begin. OK. If you had read the post you would have found the code just a little bit above your post. Yes you have a right to your code and I should have included it. I'm sorry. The comment about tuition has to do with your 2 cents. If I took yours and all the other 2 cents I got on this project i'd have enough for tuition (thought that was clearly a Joke). I"m sorry if you think I jumped at you. I wasn't trying to. Yep I copped an attitude cause people post in a post they didn't read and expect an answer that is already posted in the post. You are not going to get a chance to think twice about purchasing a coin from allaboutcoins. They aren't going to do geocoins anymore. I didn't really feel like I had been attacked untill maybe now. Did you even read my response or did you pick out key words and get pissed? In conclusion. I'm very glad you are happy with the coin and sorry that allaboutcoins did mess up on one of your coins. I will still gladly take the bad coin back and even replace it if you like. I have no ill will towards you and even mentioned your comments were mild in comparison to others who were afraid to post it on the forums. Please PM me if you have any further problems so we can keep the drama on the board to a minimum. I will ask the same for anyone else who has personal feelings. Thanks Cachanova Ya, you want to keep the drama to a minimum and I can PM you if I have further comments, this after you have explained yourself fully. No, I'll answer you here so you can have the opportunity to have the last word again, like you thought you did this time. You should not wonder why a person gets 'pissed' as you so eloquently put it. I asked a simple question about where to obtain the activation code and dodge that as you will, it should have been included with the coin, bottom line. I had no personal vendetta against you at all until you started the verbal barrage with me. I asked for a code and gave my opinion about the quality of the coin. I am a consumer and I have the right to an opinion. Had you given the coins away then you might expect for people to keep quiet if there is a problem. You even admit you 'copped an attitude' yet you seem so puzzled that I am not pleased with your response. If you have received enough negative response to pay your tuition from everybody's $.02 worth then maybe there is a problem here. Had I been the only one complaining, then you can just blame it on me being a grumpy old man which probably doesn't apply now. 'Nuff said on this subject!
  4. These were my thoughts exactly. I think geocachers would do what the wishes of the family but it could be helped by pricing. If traveling is the key, sell them at cost and request they travel. If rasing money to assist the family is more the key, charge a higher price to raise more money. I personally would do what the family wanted if I purchased the coin. Sorry for not only your personal loss but the loss to the community!
  5. Pending cost (I don't know what 5# is in dollars) and photos, I would be interested in a Copper. I'll be following the thread. Artwork look great!
  6. Huh? I definitely missed something!
  7. WyoGeo.net is a reality! I got the website up and running (mostly, at least the entry page). Even though several of the links don't work, there is a guestbook and a forum so we can start using that forum as well to convey thoughts. Please note, you need to register before you can post (to eliminate spamming of the forum). I'll continue to work on it and get all the links working at least to take you to a page. I need content from the geocachers of Wyoming, especially those who have groups in the state. I got some info on the Northeast Wyo group so will get that online this weekend. Let me know what you think, what you would like to see added, what works, what doesn't. But most importantly, participate! This will be a very boring site if we don't use it. I will post any activity, event, meeting or get-together you have. Please send me photos so I can get them online. I think we all would like to know what the others we are reading about look like. This has been a lot of work so far and will continue to be so but I am hopeful it will be a useful service and a catalyst to get a statewide group going. At least now we have a place to meet and discuss the options. http://www.wyogeo.net Edited to add URL.
  8. Hi, everyone! We have an official website and the domain is wyogeo.net. There is no content right now so if you go there, it is the entry page for my personal website. I wanted to test the FTP so uploaded this page since it was already created. Hopefully tonight, I will have time to get a very preliminary page started. Please send me information on your group, any planned events or anything else you want to have posted on the website. I am going to get a forum started so we can have discussions related to Wyoming geocaching. There will also be a guestbook so visitors can leave their feedback. Stay tuned! P.S. Thanks to TH&G for their donation, it was greatly appreciated! 'Rubiconlwb'
  9. We have done very well the past couple days! Saturday: 2007 Compass Rose 2007 Bronze 2007 Compass Rose 2007 Black Nickel Thanks for the trade, TMOCM you saved my life! Today: Geocoin Fest Poker Challenge Coin Temecula 2007 Coin Geocoin Fest 2007 Coijn Thanks S and BC for getting these for me, they are gorgeous!
  10. I for one want this as well as any coin I have commited to, to be the best it can be and I agree that as long as you are honest and keep us informed we should be patient. Besides that, we don't have any money on the line yet, Crake waits to collect money until he has the coins available and that is the way it should be. Thanks, Chris.
  11. OK, I'm not from Wyoming, although I've visited but I was curious what was going on over here. Wow, y'all are really gathering momentum as a state group! Cool! I like the name ideas, especially WYOGEO - easy to say, immediate ID with Wyoming when read. YOGO says "yoga" not "Wyoming" to me. Unless you pronounce it, you don't get the connection. It's all about the WY. Maybe WYOGEO for the website, shortened to WYOG for org name? OK, I'll leave now.... Best wishes for a great state org! You don't have to be from Wyoming to give us your opinion. I think we are just testing the waters here to see what will work and what won't. I've been a little timid about actually going forward with purchasing a domain name and setting this up for fear that after I did that, a majority of the people would want to go another direction but I guess the consensus is that the website will be 'wyogeo.net' and that perhaps the organization name could be something like Wyoming Geocachers Network since there will be at least a couple regional groups associated with this website and a possible future state group. At any rate, we will start with a domain name and go from there. I'm still collecting donations for the startup costs so if you are willing to donate a little something, e-mail or PM me and I'll send you my address. Keep the comments coming.
  12. E-mail sent! Wish I could afford more, I really like the coin and black nickel is one of my favorite finishes. Thanks!
  13. My favorites, mostly because I like the look of metal in 3D Native American JungleHair Unsung Heroes
  14. It's an interesting idea but how can we begin to know if we will purchase this coin with no information whatsoever? I will hold off on my opinion until some artwork shows up along with a price, metals, trackability, size, thickness, when it will be available. You know, the minor details!
  15. OK, here is my recommendation. I say wyogeo.com! I checked and that domain name is open in .net and .us as well. We could use the use the logo below. I also listed several other possibilities I tried and they are all available in .com, .net and .us YOGO (why)(oh)(gee)(oh)=wyogeo These are also available: wyogeocachers.com... wyominggeocachers.com... wyocachers.com... wyomingcachers.com... Any other ideas?
  16. PM sent. My geocoin list is below. The coins I have for trade are highlighted in the list. I just today traded the Idaho Micro and the SunCatcher.
  17. Todd, I just love your enthusiasm, that's why you have more cache finds than anybody else in Wyoming. That enthusiasm rubs off on all of us that are around you! You are one of the many people who have made us enjoy this hobby so much and I only wish I could pass that enthusiasm along to others as well as you have. I'm willing to get started as soon as we have a consensus on the domain name. Readers, give us your opinion and we'll do what the majority want. If we want to wait, the 2nd Annual Rawlins Brownbag Event would be a venue to approach the subject. We need input! Give us your opinion on this forum, that is why it was started. If you care to donate to get the website started, let me know. There are lots of possibilities here but we (I) need some direction.
  18. I really enjoyed the video, didn't recognize a single person but that's just because I haven't met any of them. Looked like a great time and we will definitely try to make the next one. I'm not a poker player but it looked to me like they had a good time. So many coins, so little time!
  19. Hi everyone! I am excited about the idea of organizing into a couple groups and even perhaps a statewide group, if possible! We have been to every event we could attend since we started and had so much fun we had one of our own. It went to well (in spite of the weather) that we have decided to make it an annual event. We have met some wonderful people and it is indeed a pleasure to renew those friendships whenever possible. We would be honored to have anybody show up at our event to discuss one or more of the groups now being considered. We are reasonable centrally located so people wouldn't have a killer drive to come here. That is why we are having the event, to get cachers together to meet and interact and work out any issues we need to address. I have created and maintain several websites and volunteered my time and effort to getting one going but there is one caveat. I don't have the time to do more than one, especially in the summer time. My wife and I are very busy during the summer months as are all people from Wyoming so I just won't have a lot of time to devote but I will make time for one site if the consensus is I should proceed. If somebody else out there has experience and wants to do this, I will defer to them. So if it is decided that I will create and maintain a website we will have to come to a decision what that will be for. I don't know of any reason why it can't be a statewide website that encompasses any and all groups formed whether or not we get a state group going or not. It could be a meeting point for Wyoming cachers and would be a great way to inform of any meetings, events or get-togethers. I could add a forum to the site so we could have our own as well as this forum. There are lots of possibilities and the only problem I forsee is funding. It is not expensive to have a presence on the web (about $60 per year) but that money has to come from somewhere. I would be willing to donate a couple items which could be raffled off or we could have a silent auction as long as some others were willing to do the same. I do some woodworking so would be willing to donate items of that sort. This is something we could discuss on this forum or it could be discussed in June. Those are my feelings, what are yours? 20. I'd like a couple of your coins if you do another run. Thanks!
  21. I'm not at the Geocoin Fest and I'm not very happy about it. We decided to go find 4 new caches in the area and try to be FTF (success!) even though it is cold and very windy today. Most of our snow has melted (finally) but with the wind, it is bitter. Now for my guesses Your anniversary is June 15 The day before is your annual event The day after is your birthday Oh no, that's my information! I'll go with it anyway! Nothing better to do except maybe take a nap!
  22. I was very excited this week! Probaby 90% of the caches within 50 miles of my home my wife and I have placed. There are very few cachers and almost all of them are new and so have not placed any caches. One of the newer cachers placed 4 new caches this past week. So my wife and Grand-daughter and I decided to drive the 40 miles to be FTF on all four caches. We found them all even though I almost gave up on one but Wheaties height and good eyes spied it when I had missed it. It was cold and very windy today so one didn't want to be out too long. We ate the best Huevos Rancheros within 200 miles before hitting the caches so it was a worthwhile trip! We are anxious for the two clubs that are trying to get started to do so, get some events planned so we can all get together.
