  1. Maybe the GPS should update the position more often than every 5th second. The GPS is lagging too much on my Sony Xperia Z and I can´t use it, but it is on the other hand working OK on my friend´s LG G4 phone. All other apps I have tested, are not lagging with the Sony Xperia Z.
  2. To make this "new" official Geocaching app become a good geocaching app, puzzle- and multicache corrected coordinates MUST directly be shown on the map in the right (corrected) position AND in the right distance position in the list of nearby caches. A possibility to select and use own maps like OSM would be welcome.
  3. I suggested exactly this in a post dated 13 June 2012 - 11:19 AM.
  4. The latest Communicator plug-in from Garmin and USB drivers are installed. Garmin's Communicator Web page says all is OK. The Geocaching.com function "Send to my GPS" (a Garmin) doesn't work with Firefox 13.0.1. It always says "The plug-in was not unlocked successfully". Have tested with both Windows Vista and Win7, same problem, but IE9 and Google Chrome both work fine, so the problem is only with FF. How can this be solved?

    Compass

I am using the new free Geocaching Live WP7 app on a Nokia Lumia 800. On the Compass screen it would be an improvement to get the field "Distance" and the distance information in a larger font size, or at least to get that information in a bold font.
  6. Garmin Oregon 200/300/400 new software version 4.20 is now available through the WebUpdater.
  7. No not yet, but probably within a few days.
  8. Electronic compass is a very nice function when you are close to the cache you are looking for. Altimeter isn't needed for geocaching.
  9. You will find all info how to downgrade on http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/Versions You will also find the 4.10 software file, which you just need to rename to gupdate.gcd.
  10. With the 4.16 Beta, for some strange reason, it seems to me that it is never using more than 12 satellites. The same was the case with 4.11 and 4.12 Beta. With the latest official software 4.10 for Oregon 200/300/400, the GPS is using up to 14 satellites at the same time. I have reported this to Garmin.
  11. After installing the Beta 4.16, my Oregon 300 did power off by itself lots of times, when starting to navigate or going into the waypoint manager. That has never happend to me with any version before. Reinstalled the Beta 4.12.
  12. My old eTrax Venture with software 5.20 locks on WAAS/Egnos with accuracy 2 meters but not my Oregon 300 with 3.10 it stays on accuracy 7 meters! I just loaded 3.12 beta. Lets see how it works.
