  1. I agree. I simply will not go after them. Those geocachers that hide micros, I basically blacklist. Let honest caches be honest. SlideRule ( The Fun Is In The Find )

  4. That is exactly what Garman said when I called their Tech support. So, I have to purchase City Navigator NT and place it on my Colorado. Thanks one, Thanks all.
  5. MapSource does not display an error message. How to upload a file? ( I don't know how )
  6. NOPE - The Settings were for "Car and Motorcycle"
  7. Somehow or the other, I cannot get MapSource (ver: 6-15-7) to upload the GPX files on my Garmin COlorado 300. Does someone know how to do this?
  8. I have a problem with the Colorado 300 that I did not have with my Garmin 76map. SITUATION: I go to MapSource, Mark two locations, Create Route. I get a route with turn by turn, following the streets. When I download to Garmin 76, the route is turn by torn, following the streets. When I download to the Colorado 300, I get a line of sight, as the bird flys, route. QUESTION: What am I doing wrong? Maybe a setting is set somewhere incorrect?
  9. DGP.com takes me to a NON-GPS related commercial site. Perhaps the poster should research and re-post this information.
  10. I have seen this many times. The Admin. gets real excited and over react then a few months later, seem to forget about the issue. This is the primary reason for so many 'blue laws' in this country. My favorite is: "You are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you already own at least two cows." ( Blythe, CA )
  11. Perhaps - Could you tell me ( In English ) what you think it means. (In particular ) any 'slang' meanings. Because if you mean what I recall it to mean. Then try "arrebato de virgen" or eliminador de virgin" Claude
  12. What I do - Is when I find a cache, I take the GC1234 number and change the First 'G' into an 'F' ( Found ) . After I log the find, I sometimes delete the found 'FC1234' type entries Also, I have learned through bitter experience, to make a 'MOB' entry when I leave the car.
  13. Sounds like an excellent location for an EarthCache. Look at: http://www.geosociety.org/earthcache/ SlideRule (The fun is in the find )
  14. 1) Welcome to the sport 2) I work nights and generally cache in the morning - If this is OK with you, we can go sometime this week. 3) Email me privately for phone numbers etc.
  15. Repost the photo - It did not make it to the forum
  16. As an owner of one of a Homer cache, I speak. 1) There is nothing commercial in my listing of my cache. 2) I used the HD location to exploit a different kind of camo. 3) Is no where related to HD except for name. 4) If I get a nasty gram from GeoGOD, my Homer will remain, I will just change the name. 17. They look to me to be 'Paint Balls' Balls filled with paint that kids shoot at one another.
  18. Maybe what I should do is change the note to read, you will not get credit for this cache is you already have 20/50/100 finds. I agree, once found and logged, the finder should get credit, for all time, for the find.
  19. I have thought reciently, that it would be nice to have a class of cache for NOVICES only. Suggest the name start with 'NOVICE' ie: 'NOVICE - Under the mail box' Suggest that it be limited to D1/T1 types. Suggest it be limited to those with less than 20/50/100 finds. Suggest the HINTS be in the open. Suggest the cache description, indicate that if you want a bit more challenge go to the adjacent cache 'GC12345' and post the coords to the next nearest cache. An example is Novice - Garlic Cache Something like that. What say you one, What say you all? -- SlideRule (The Fun Is In The Find ) aka: Claude
  20. Yes, add me to the list - I am up for some power caching.
  21. Awsome video - Where did you get the walking stick?
  22. Looking to go paperless - Did not get a chance to stay to the end of the 'Paperless Caching' Event For a first time PDA User - What is your recommendation?
  23. I got you all beat. I met my Girl Friend/Future Wife at a cache. It was a kind of FTF for the both of us.
  24. 1) Enough of the photo lessons - Take it off topic ( My $0.02 ) 2) May I be the first to congratulate Night Hunter on his 1,000 find ( I am sure will be tomorrow ) ( Color me jealous )
