I'm 11... I would recognize that "z" anywhere I don't know of too many other people that use the horizontal line through z's. Almost halfway there... 12/25! -

Whoa... I thought there were more international players (just from the name international kitchen sink mission). That makes sense then... no need to open all of them if only 40% are needing customs forms. Thanks for the info! -
It's cosmic not solar! I hadn't thought of them as being planets around our sun. Good point.... I was just wondering... and it confused me at first. Now I see what you're saying.

Well.... technically to ship the boxes back out for customs, he has to do a check of what is actually in the box anyway... and since most of the people in this mission are outside of the US, the boxes will be opened anyway... I do like the emailing the tracking code idea. I mean the coins will actually be there, and he will actually see them. That could just help him narrow down which coin is which. I guess the best thing to do with this is let WSR decide, he's the one that would have to do the work It would be nice to see the actual mileage of the coin, but I don't want to crate extra work Very true! -
Received my Third Wheel edition of the April Fools Coin today! Thanks Dave! Will try to post a pic after while.

MinnesotaBen has started the race! His new coin is TB42DEZ and is in Cache GC2Q6G4! MinnesotaBen will receive a "Home Is Where The Cache Is" geocoin for being the last one to enter the race. EyeD10T and MinnesotaBen will both receive a "Travel Express" Dubloon coin designed by Jackelgirl as soon as they arrive. These are just a few of the prizes that will be awarded as this race continues. Good Luck All GaryM53 Conductor of The Travel Express Very cool GaryM53 - that is kind of you. I appreciate all that you have done and are doing for this race. I have enjoyed the anticipation of waiting for mine to get dropped and I have been watching the race from afar Its a lot of fun! Very cool... I think mine is actually moving now too!

Whatever you want... heck list both if you want. I am just trying to gather a bit of info on what seems to help a city or town be more happy. I've always thought a strong sense of community, activities/festivals, education, and jobs were influential. I also like seeing specific types of events or activities (so I can throw some hints... or maybe see about organizing a festival or something in the future if I continue to live here).

I kinda got a feeling that Bob will be like.... "uh, whatever man" in some sort of poetic fashion.

Are the 8 outer circles supposed to be planets, or just motioning you to spin around to find the geocache? If they are planets, then two of them should be rotating in a clockwise manner (venus and uranus).

Well... mine is already sent. Robert mentioned something about having to open the outgoing international boxes for customs notification. I have no problem with all of the boxes being opened... if that is something he is into. How many US participants were there anyway? Couldn't be more than 5 I don't think. -
I see... well I really like seeing a community take on a project like this. Good luck!

Lots of really good posts... didn't realize what a diverse bunch we are. Some of us are from the country... others the city.... some really new cities... some really old ones. Neat!

Oh... here's a question Robert. For our own personal coin that we sent out to be put into a cache... are you going to record the trackables and dip them into a nearby cache? Then send them out in the boxes. I think that would be really cool... I mean if you end up having time. It would give the coins a truer account as where they've been.... plus I know mine will only last like a month before it get's stolen anyway. Just wonderin'. oh... plus it would probably give you a bunch of icons that you don't already have. -
Oh.... Ballad of a Thin Man! Great song!

So... the railroad won't actually do any funding?

I have an actual LA token that looks just like this! I don't have a camera near me... or else I would take a pic.
-
Would a non-trackable coin be something that they would sell at concerts.... Or something that they would market just on their site? I mean what is their vision for the coin outside of the caching population?
-
Oh man... just noticed the awesome cut out!
-
Put me in for two (depending on the price... but at least one).... I love BOB! Man that is so cool that they are working with you! My favorite songs of his: Everybody must get stoned... It ain't me babe... A hard rain's a gonna fall. Question... How possible would it be to get other famous posters... like a series. I'm thinking Jimi Hendrix '68 Pop Festival.

History... I love history and the beach! Unfortunately for this area, our (european ancestral) history only dates back to early 1700's... and that is French claimed history. So, there is a big difference between 300 years of recorded history and the probably 4000+ years of recorded history in Greece. No downplay on Native American history, but if you don't write down events... they will never be remembered (except through story-telling).

COINTEST: The Stop Lurking and come Introduce Yourself
goosefraba1 replied to keewee's topic in Trackables
Not trying to hijack your thread Keewee... but I'm bored. Hi Morgan! Most people here acquire coins by: A.Buying them from a certified vendor B. Participating in a cointest like this one C. Are gifted the coin (such as a mystery coin) D. Find an unactivated coin in a cache (this is the rarest way) What you don't want to do is find a coin in a cache that is activated (owned by somebody else) and take it for personal keeping. That is bad... and an automatic -10 Karma points that you have to deal with. To find out whether the coin is activated or not... go to the trackables tab on the geocaching.com homepage, type in the number that is on the coin (mind your O's and 0's.... S's and 5's... etc). If the coin is activated, a homepage for the coin will pop up. If the coin is unactivated, it will ask for an activation code. Hope this helped some. Thanks, Zach -
hmmm, very intriguing. let's close this one then. closed. OK... sorry everybody.... I guess that I had a timing out while originally posting this COINTEST. To clarify... the cointest is ON! Go!
