  1. I also have this problem, and agree that it is quite random. I can take the same GPX file that works on my Oregon 450t and drop it on the 64st and get nothing. I have no filters and search parameters yield no results. Sometimes all of the caches disappear in the field. Showing one minute, gone the next. Very Frustrating.
  2. I don't use filters. I have a GPX file loaded in my unit, but nothing shows up in the Geocaches list. Nothing shows up on the map. A while ago, some of the caches showed up, then they were gone. I loaded the same GPX file on an Oregon 450t and everything seems to be there. This has happened several times, with different GPX and GGZ formats. I even performed a factory reset, but it still does this. edit 12:56 pm edt - And there they are again. But not all of the caches are there.
  3. My GPSMAP 64 has developed this same problem. It's frustrating. Any advice yet?
  4. How about a "DNF" Icon on the Google map to make it easy to track caches that I need to get back to?
  5. A "show my find" button on the Google map, which hides all that finds that I haven't found, and only shows my " "
  6. I like using the Google Maps page to monitor caches in any certain area. (I'm visual, and love maps). The is a box to check marked "Hide My Finds", which removes the caches you have already found (smiley face icon). I assume this makes it easier to locate caches you haven't found yet. I think this page also need an option to "Show My Finds", as a way to show my progress. Even better if it displayed archived caches that I have found. Anyone else think this would be a nice feature? Who do you tell about it?
  7. I agree. I think we worry too much about muggles. Sometime I will even go to them for help, instead of running away from the cache. If people are hanging around GZ I'll say something like "Hey, I'm looking for hidden treasure. Wanna help?" If they seem genuinely interested, I'll teach them about Geocaching. I make them promise to leave the cache alone, and let them keep a prize if they want (and replace it from my own pocket). I wouldn't do this if the logs indicate that the cache is full if really good stuff. Even middle school kids (who are usually punks---yes, I'm a teacher) appreciate the concept of Geocaching, once they are educated about it.
  8. Hi, My name is Gary. I live in Mason, MI and Work in Jackson, MI. My Sister got me started Caching Last year. Her, Screen name is Mrs. Captain Picard, and she is approaching 20,000 finds. I usually try to go caching by bicycle, walking, or jogging. I don't think we should be polluting our earth and using up our fossil fuels unnecessarily, hence my screen name (Jeepers-GasFree). It's one thing to stop on your way home from work, and another to drive 50 miles trying to grab a FTF.
