  1. Well said, Moletrap! I don't often visit Indiana, but I know I will be travelling through in July, and I am certainly looking forward to doing some earthcaches.
  2. If you want detailed street maps, you have to buy Magellan MapSend. You select the area where you want to cache and send the maps from the software to the GPS with this software. I see it is available on Amazon for about $70.
  3. I think you want to go to the "map" screen and push the "open book" button to reveal a menu. Scroll down to "map setup", enter, and you'll see a "track mode" option. Hope that helps, I've just inherited a Sportrak & have been going through the manual. Lots of capability I didn't realize!
  4. We enjoy difficult puzzle caches very much. We've placed one, of moderate difficulty, and those who have figured it out without a clue really seem to enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. A difficult puzzle, a la gcnfkb, provides a pleasant diversion in the comfort of your home with your choice of music, beverage, and company. If it is solved, great! If not, well, the mental exercise might forestall the onset of dementia!!
  5. We had a lot of fun making up this little poem for the essay contest. If you have a minute, please read it and nominate it for us! Thanks, K-kids Our entry
