  1. I have registered cachemate and need help installing on Palm, do I download zip to desk and then pick what to install or ?
  2. If you paid the fee and received your registration code, you do this on the Palm. I don't have mine in hand, but when Cachemate is open on the Palm, there is an option tab or menu tab where you can type in the code. It's a bit clunky on my Palm IIIxe. Not sure which unit you have. I have a Palm IIIxe also, I have found the registrationn page and enter registration code but get a message saying invalid code.
  3. With a lot of help I am finally able to download to my palm. Only I get a message about a trial offer, how do I register cachemate in order to download more caches?
  4. Thanks Hynr, seems to load now. Only problem I'm having is it loads only 10 caches, says I am on trial basis with cachemate. I have subscribed to cachemate over a month ago, any idea on what to do next?

  6. I've have a Toshiba lap top that does not have a serial port (9 pin). I went out and bought a Radio Shack serial to usb cable to connect a palm for paperless caching. The pc says it cannot connect to port. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem? I am using GSAK and Cachemate but need to transfer to palm. HELP!

  17. This is the reply I received from emailing last one to log : (coin 10733 came from cache GCT6AQ this cache is in Mobile Al. I went back to this cache looking to discover Silver Star and Great American Traveler T/B. I first went to this cache on 1/9/07 both of the T/B'S was in the cache at that time but I failed to record the numbers. I went back on 1/24/07 and the T/B was gone but the coin was there.) It is nice to have someone reply and at least try to help track bugs.

  20. A few years ago the "Smokey Mountain Extreme Team" put out a cache called the Grave Yard Shift. This cache took people thru many different cemetaries, some very old and some not so old. It is surprising what you can learn from the dead. After a few weeks the cache ended on a October night in the middle of pisgah national forest. Once the three who finally completed the cache arrived at final cords they were met by some very mysterious "folks" who sat them by a fire and commenced to question them on their exploits. After answering the questions they were treated to a feast of burgers and beer on that cold wet night. I would like to thank the Smokey Mountain Extreme Team, for a fine cache that will be remembered forever.
