  1. No receipt of PQs to my comcast.net accounts here for the last day... I'll try another acct and see what happens.
  2. plastic jars out of sunlight seem like good compromise vs. tupperware-type contains. plastic lip-seal containers seem to be left open more than one would like. found this example quickly at froogle.com searching for plastic jar: http://store.yahoo.com/cranberrylane/plasticjars.html less than 2 bucks for 16 oz. jar seems cheap to me. i'd check some local makeup and beauty supply places to save shipping costs
  3. I totally agree with baloo&bd. GSAK ($20) and Cachemate ($7) are excellent programs and real bargains to boot. Also, I've seen new Palm Zire at PalmOne.com for $69. That's about $100 to go totally paperless and the Palm can be used for lots of other things besides geocaching. The freedom from printing and filing paper logs is awesome. I reckon I'll save lots of money due to reduced printer and ink costs as well. As premium geocaching.com member, I get regular GPX queries emailed to me so I always have the latest info on local caches. Before traveling, I run a query for my destination and download it to my Palm. Things are so much easier now. Chas
  4. Cachemate on Palm computer!!! I read about this Palm program here and bought it two weeks ago. It is FANTASTIC!! Thank you Smittyware and the recommenders here. I carry hundreds of caches in my pocket now and easily update them using pocket queries every week (local) or just before I go on trips. I recommend becoming Premium member and using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife, Cachemate and CMConvert (comes with Cachemate). No other Palm software is required this way. Paperless is the only way to go IMHO. Think of all the time you could spend searching, printing and organizing paper cache descriptions/logs. Cachemate and pocket queries let you get updated in minutes.
  5. My daughter found a TB on her first hunt this Father's Day. It wants to go to Europe. Are there any geocachers in New Mexico who might be going to Europe in the next few weeks who could take it there and drop it in a geocache? If yes, please email ccaldwell38@comcastnospam.net. IMPORTANT: delete nospam from email address before sending mail. Thanks, Chasmanian Devil
