  1. I have collected my caching day record with my 60scx for the last two years. This includes my track from the day, all the caches including my found caches and any additional waypoint from a multi cache. I now got a Garmin Colorado 300. All I want to do is to continue collecting my days worth of caching each day I go out. I waited on the phone today to talk to support from Garmin. I did not get any clear answer to my problem. I was told they would work on a solution, and an email would be sent to me later. Half hour later an email was sent saying this: Here ya go Sorry for the delay , using ,Mapsource with the Colorado device . Interface the device with your pc . Pull up Mapsource , the device will be in mass storage mode, select transfer at the top and receive from device . You will have a box pop up and select file to save as to store your waypoints and name it Colorado points. Hope this helps. Well, I tried this vague process and I still only get the child waypoints. I do not get any of the caches found or not found. So here I am, pleading to the masses for some insight. For the record I do enjoy using the Colorado. So far I have one of the good ones.
  2. Hey there: There are a couple good puzzle caches in my area. They are GC1618T and GC16JQP. I hope this can inspire you or at least give you some ideas.
  3. I am glad that you where able to get back to the cache and rescue my travel bug. Thanks all. sabresfan
  4. I just recieved a new HP Ipaq Pocket PC and I want to protect the screen from scratches from normal writing on the display. I have looked at a few protectors, but I want a decent layer of protection that is still easy to see thru. What brand name do you recommend. How many different ones have you tried and liked or did not like? Thanks
  5. Hello to everybody. Can you please help out my travel bug if you are going to Algonquin park this summer. I feel bad for the new cacher for placing a first cache out, and go home and have it rejected as it is too far from home to look after the cache. I understand and completely agree with the cache reviewer for that point and that it is also forbidden in Provincial Parks. I hope I am able to reach the one cacher, that may be near this unpublished cache. Thanks to the cacher who can free up my stranded Travel Bug.
  6. I have permission to set up a cache on somebody private land. They have a commercial venture there already. They would like to know what the liability is on them if some cacher has an incident while on thier property? I told them that we cachers ( @ GEOCACHING.COM ) signed a waiver, when we got started. I have looked for it but I cannot find it now. Do we follow the same guidelines as the United States do? Thanks
  7. Thanks for replying. It is fairly straight forward. You get my caching name and use the numbers from telephone pad and it gives me the co'ords of 73 37.734 . That will give you the latitude or longatude of some place near Montreal. You need to go to the percise location and take a picture of the GPS's co'ords and the surroundings. Here is the Geocaching web page. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f3-931a67b7eccd Thanks redSSEi p.s. you will also get creadited as a find for you for your trouble.
  8. Hello to all fellow geocachers. I am also looking at completing this cache "where's In A Name" If I reduce my name of REDSSEi it translates into 73 37.734. When I look at this on a latititude coord it crosses by Montreal. I was wondering if there is any body who can help me with this cache. Thanks RedSSEi

    Palm Battery

I just got a used M515 palm pilot from ebay, and it seems that the battery needs to be replaced. It hold a charge during heavy usage for 2 hours. Should they last longer than that? I was thinking that I needed to get another battery to replace the one that is in it now. The M515 has the internal battery instead of the 2 AAA's. Has any one else had to replace one, and if so where did they go. I live in the east side of the GTA. Thanks in advance.

  16. Thanks to everybody who responded to my crazy situation. I do not have my GPS back yet, but at last word from Quebec is that it will be back very shortly? for what it is worth.
  17. I sent my Garmin 60cs in for repair (after countless lookups or not booting up) to authorized repair shop in Quebec as I was told by a Garmin rep. in the States. It was sent to them January 29 and I was told by it would be a week or two. Well it is 6th of March and I am now told it is on backorder from the states now. I was wondering if anybody else is waiting for a GPSr to return. Thanks
