  1. this is helpful and needs to be better published so new GCers can find the true facts about GCing in National parks, not national forests.
  2. AS a californian who wanted to know desparately about this topic....why does this forums search software return so many false negatives over and over.......till I tried the sixth times and fouond this informational thread before I put out my Californian park GCs.
  3. The main page on the geocahing site says NO geocaches in parks ran by US Park Service.......is this TRUE or is this thread topic a way to get around this GCing rule ??? OR, This is double speak.
  4. Just as I thought.... somepeople are just complainers all day long.
  5. Funny how so many CGers act so passive aggressive, and more so when pointed out publicly. Very immature. I guess it's a wierd sorta of 'bonding' ritual for some. Waste of time and oh so embarrassing.
  6. Offset idea ???? Multi cache ??? In this instance, how ??? please fill me in...
  7. Some of the best illustrations of this raunchy negative attutude exhibited by some GCers towards others here is by going into the older and higher pages of this site forum archive and read the contentious posts on AdM closed threads. All that can be politely said of those interchanges, "it's a lesson".
  8. These remind me of those old heart attack suffers small neck chain gasketed nitro pill containers.
  9. All being said, have you been told that placing a GC in a municiple water valve and meter concrete vault is wrong, illegal and should be moved? I have..what are your thoughts on this?
  10. I have put out my first two GCs in public areas in residential areas near places of extreme interest for the home architecure and owner's history, in hours BOTH of my GCs were tampered with including stolen, removed my box container, and/or moved and harshly judged about in logs. I am thinking about just not replacing them over these matters. I already replaced one AND moved it and lost it, it still was not enough for one local newbie GCer (who had the ironic nerve to claim finding my GC as his FTF) who moved my GC a second time. I am close enough to monitor them by droppping by within minutes of reading the log notes on the Internet site. When you take your own time, effort, resources, monies, and energies to put out a interesting GC, and have to worry about muggles, gardeners, neighbors, and even unkind, malicious or stupid GCers......it's too much sometimes. All I was doing was trying to contribute to the fun I enjoy, show people some local beauty in their lives along with some interesting local history. It was for nothing. Crap!
  11. Its always interesting to read from some cynical and negative posters on this site, because their pathetic views have to be laughable and begs the question, 'Are you always this much of a party pooper". LMAO
  12. Check that famous huge "E" auction market place....
  13. There is too much of abscent and lazy GC owners as it is. Why even bother to be a GC owner? Too much emails...I wish I could have that kind of response to my GCs.
  14. Amen ! I have put out my first two GCs in public areas in residential areas near places of extreme interest for the home architecure and owner's history, in hours BOTH of my GCs were tampered with including stolen, removed my box container, and/or moved and harshly judged about in logs. 15. I have found that it's not the quality of the container (most times), it's the lack of quality of GCer's ability to take time to secure and re-hide the GC back to GZ. Sometimes you just can't make a GC 'goof-proof' no matterf what you do.
  16. Do you really think that you are fooling us with these silly disclaimers that you have been adding to many of your posts? Yes, Cachedrone is the reviewer, and we all know that you are not too lazy to do the research, and you know it. What part of his explaination did you not understand? Perhaps he can restate it. Now I consider THAT a personal attack. My disclaimer and laziness in this situation are genuine. If you can't accept that then I invite you to keep your comments to yourself. I'm not surprised. All I'm saying, though, is that your obvious disclaimers don't hide the real intentions of your posts. That is not an attack... it is an observation. Take it, or leave it. You have a right to post all the disclaimers you wish. I'm just pointing out that they don't do as much good as you may think. Or, was it the "you are not too lazy" part that you thought was a personal attack? You are saying I am lying with my disclaimers and I can assure you that each disclaimer is there to prevent people like YOU from putting word in my mouth. I have no reason to lie. I'm a jerk when I want to be and can usually imply when I am being a jerk quite adequately. I am also a nice person when I want to be and you know it. For YOU to continually imply that I'm being a jerk does nothing but get me in trouble and I would thank you to not post in the forums any further that you think I am lying. When in doubt, please keep it to yourself. Thank you. Sorry mods, and everyone else, this had to be said here. Relax!!! All I'm saying is that, if you think about how you word your posts before you write them, there is no need for these disclaimers. I am guessing that you have taken to using them because you have been misunderstood so often. I am not the source of that misunderstanding. 'CLIFFY'.......LOL
  17. Logs could be; the good and/or the bad. It's GC history.
  18. My 2 Cents.. IMHO: It is clear by reading the content of these many forum posts that some people are so desparate as to constantly need their egos stroked in: demanding long detailed 'log' messages, incessantly crowing about their high 'found' GC numbers, forum pontificating 'must do' posts content, constructing & placing 'unfindable'' GCs or siding with irresponsible COers for being AWOL. It's all quite interesting.
  19. A majority of the COers are still AWOL after weeks. I have given up on those GCs. A shame.
  20. I try to dry it out and the rest is up to those COers. COers get to take the good with the bad. To do more is beyond my GC responsibilies.
  21. Good common sense and makes sense to me.
  22. I took my name based from the California grizzly bear that is on the Californian state flag. It is my radio handle for decades.
