  1. This way though no action is required by a reviewer... unless of course they disagree?
  2. Can one not move a cache more than 0.1 miles by doing it in several steps? Jon
  3. I had mine a few weeks now (I live locally and it was kindly delivered). It's now in LQ:Surrey, a cache I placed today and so is ready to start it's journey into the wild Bon voyage! Jon
  4. Ah but the waybackmachine has provided many hours of amusement for me in other areas!
  5. Please don't be too distrustful! I have lost only one TB and one geocoin in 3 years. Jon
  6. You have done exactly what I would have done. From experience, if one releases a TB or coin into the wild, be prepared to lose it. Sad as it is; dropping TB's or coins is like gambling.. if you can't afford to lose it.. don't do it. I hope you do retrieve it - good luck. Jon
  7. Take a look at the Groundspeak forums as they were in 2001 here. Oh how our sport has developed! (Found via the waybackmachine website.. 85 billion archived websites going back to 1996) Hope you have fun exploring. Jon
  8. How strange... this displays faster than memory map I have loaded onto my PC hard drive! gonna keep it bookmarked! Thanks, Jon
  9. SP... I think this looks very juvenile! I'll be there
  10. I nearly always remember to take my GPSr. If I remember... I also take the cache sheet and a pen It's called senile decay you know, and I quote... "In physics, mathematics, and astronautics it means over thirty; in the other disciplines, senile decay is sometimes postponed to the forties". Oh joy!
  11. Yep that's the one, although I think it looks a little worse for wear nowdays
  12. Locals to Reading may recognise this one! Is this the grandfather? Jon
  13. Berkshire is now live. I hope to have Surrey done next weekend. Jon
  14. I wouldn't do it. Not to say it is right or wrong. However I recall releasing a new coin of mine, a long time ago now, and it was promptly nabbed by the cache owner. I felt I had been robbed. Dunno why? Jon
  15. Winter caching is good. Less muggles about and butterfly cachers stay at home = improvement in league tables
  16. I hope to have Berks and Surrey up and running very soon Jon
  17. I have 3 x "run once" PQ's pending since 0915 hrs this morning. Anyone else having delays? Jon
  18. Jump out of car, turn on GPSr, save position as MOB, go find cache. Return to car using saved MOB location, only to realise it's 60 miles away as it never locked a signal when registered. Walk 2.5 miles in wrong direction until realised mistake
  19. So what's the attraction to be a FTF? I have a few under my belt but I can't recall many at all I had gone out of my way for. Personally I like a few others to find a cache first... then any amended coords/multi calculations/past logs etc. makes my life just that little bit easier Jon
  20. I saw a TB last weekend where the tag had been bent into a circle so it could fit into a canister only slightly bigger than a 35mm canister! Problem was of course the TB number was on the INSIDE! Jon
