  1. I'll admit I was briefly intrigued by TC, but if they encourage that kind of disregard for this site and the people that work hard to create new caches, count me out. The intrigue began with the lure of less traffic, more discrete caches, but I guess members only caches can fill that void. As far as "unique, creative caches that break away from the 'masses," can't they just think of new ways to adapt/evolve caches on this site? This would eliminate the proximity problem. Plus, that's what most of us already try to do.... *sigh* Everybody say BEO
  2. If you miserable sacks of fat and snot think little Fenny is frightening, you would do well to stay clear of my cache. If I could direct your attention near the bottom of my first post...... Thanks Ellylidian, and everyone else, these are great! Keep 'em comin'.
  3. I'll do it. How much does it pay?
  4. Hey all you hawaiian cachers out there. My brother in law is on a mission in honolulu, and I would love to place a cache near him. But that's too far away for me to place and maintain a cache(I'm in Utah). Is there anyone out there that would like to help? OR is there a Hawaii Geocachers Club that might be able to help me? Thanks, BEO
  5. I say PEE! Its bad for your kidneys to hold it, ask george costanza. Don't pee on anything that people will handle, but if I'm in the woods and nature calls (isn't that why they call it that) dang right I'm gonna go. Heck, I'll take a trip to the woods specifically for that! Beats a gas station restroom any day!
  6. More WalMarts = More Micros..... and we know WalMart will never stop until it consumes us all. Lamp post micros thru to the armageddon!
  7. On the other hand, if someone was to place a jeep in a cache and not drop it, just place a 'suprise'. What a great way to get the jeep into the hands of an unsuspecting cacher who may be more likely to move it along than keep it. Instead they usually fall into the personal collection of jeeps that I'm sure alot of people have sitting on their mantles or other places of honor to be revered and worshipped for their holiness. Just make sure they drop it in the cache and then grab it to keep mileage correct. Is this a good idea? I have a jeep that I plan to drop this weekend and would like some opinions.
  8. White is the new yellow!
  9. The cacher 'Fen Dweller' hides some of the most interesting caches(bait?) and makes some of the best cache pages that I have seen. I was wondering if there are any others similar to these out there. 10. MegaMan (or Rockman before translation.) Cuz he's little and blue and he can shoot from his arm.
  11. Just a note to say I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the jeep TB contest. It's cool that jeep would lend its name and ad money to support our hobby, and all the volunteer effort is carried out very efficiently. I think they improved alot on the contest after last year I especially like that you don't need a jeep physically in your hands to enter the contest. I'm a long time jeep advocate and a short time geocaching advocate. None of the included parties NEED to continue this contest at all, so we should all be grateful it's underway again this year. SO NO MORE WHINING. and hopefully it will be back again next year with even more improvements. My two pennies.
  12. Check out this guy, he might be willing to work with you on shipping. KSL Classified Ad GPS E-Trex
  13. Okay, I've got one, who wants it and how much do you want it? I take cash. J/K I think it's a great idea to place it in a cache and not drop it until someone else finds it. That would be a great suprise for someone. Unless someone really wants to send me some $$, I won't complain. BEO
  14. Here's an idea for a sig-item: Custom printed guitar picks!! How cool would that be? BONUS: they would probably fit in most micros also. Mine would say BEO in bright orange letters on a lime green pick. Plus you can get alot printed at once, you could afford to leave a few in each cache. Alot of places can even print logos or pictures too!
  15. Is the e-mail notification expected to be fixed soon or is it even a part of the contest anymore? I haven't seen the sign-up feature on the jeep TB page lately, does this mean we're on our own to watch the recent moves to find one that pops up in our area? IMO this makes it a little more work to find a WJTB and its already hard enough to find those little suckers!
  16. are the white jeep icons working in the cache pages? i haven't seen any yet. i know the email notification isnt working yet, but if the icons would show up, i could sift through caches easier. instead of sitting on the jeep tb latest movement page all day. you know what i mean? well, do you?
  17. One autumn day a redneck was out during deer season. He had no luck so far, until suddenly he noticed something rustling in the brush nearby. He shouldered his gun, took his shot and hurried over to inspect his kill. To his suprise he found a geocacher laying on the ground in agony. The hunter was shocked and immediatley called 911 on his cell phone. The redneck exclaimed, "I accidentally shot a geocacher, what should I do?" The operator responded, "Okay sir, calm down, I'll walk you through the steps. First we have to make sure he's dead." The redneck said, "All right, hold on...." the operator on the line heard *click-click, BOOM* and the hillbilly put the phone back to his ear and said, "Okay, now what?"
  18. here's a great idea for a CCC for my idaho neighbors to the north. it would fit right in. and the best part is, there's already a 'secret' storage compartment. put it right by the 'free taters for out of staters' sign! talk about camoflage!
  19. If you visit northern Utah there's another good place i have found for ammo cans. Smith & Edwards There are no SUPRISES here. tons of cans for about the same prices 2.99 and 5.99 all are in pretty good shape too.
