  1. Thanks for the ideas. We have a certain amount of books and maps already thanks alex. I just liked the idea of using the gps (boys toys). Unfortunately the only pc we have is the home pc, so memory map is not an option. Cheers T Have a good holiday Hancock Clan. Im sure you will.
  2. The Brodie Clan will be going to Orlando this year for their hols. I thought it would be handy to take my gps to help us get round the place and hopefully not getting lost. Any one got a leisure map of that area I can download on to our Etrex Legend that they would be prepared to sell or have any other ideas ( hints and tips ) for getting around Orlando.
  3. Hey Guys thanks, Garmin's MapSource it is. I'll give it a go.
  4. Ah yes, how right you are. How stupid do I feel. Thanks – that’s that bit sorted
  5. I have a Etrex Legend. It’s a great Gpsr but I have been living with a few niggles. Any one else out there, got the same faults. 1 – approaching waypoint (walking pace) The distance goes from 1.0 miles to 500ft in a blink of an eye, every time. 2 – The map overlap roads are never in the right place. When driving along, the roads are always off to the side. Can these problems be rectified?????
  6. Only had to use this one once but its a goodie. There is a micro cache in the Southamton City Centre Parks. Shoppers pass with in feet of it every minute. So we hunted for it for best part of an hour, with out a result, because we just couldnt get stuck in. We came back the next day, but this time my son aged 4 held in his hand...... Wait for it ....... a Tennis Racket with the rehearsed phrase 'have you found the ball yet dad' Cache found in minutes. Try it, it works wonders.
