Desert Toad

I have a new Garmin 60cs and would like to get the topo maps stuck in it. Mainly for hunting/hiking/geocaching. I know they come in different levels of details, but I'd like one that shows all the backcountry roads and whatnot. Which one is best? thanks, DT

I too am using a Mac with my Garmin 60CS. I've uploaded waypoints and would like to have maps as well. The most important is good detailed maps. I'd like the backroads for hunting, hiking, fishing, etc. Is the Garmin Mapsouce TOPO good? What is the difference between that and the TOPO west, more detail? I figure if it doesn't work in VPC, I'll just use a friends PC to get it uploaded. So what's the best map? thanks, DT

Garmin cs60 for me - thanks Santa! Now to figure out how to get it to talk to my Mac using Virtual PC...and then out to find some treasure! DT

Wow. Thanks a ton for all the great help! I'll be getting a 60cs and can't wait!!! It was between that and the 76cs. Just liked the feel and size of the 60 better. thanks again! Desert Toad

I'm just getting into caching. But I also do quite a bit of hunting, camping, and hiking. I'd like to have a muli-purpose model, and the new map programs looks great. The 76 looks more like it's made for Marine purposes. Does it have all the functions of the 60 as well? thanks.

Due to a great deal, my next GPS will be Garmin. Which one? I'm thinking the GPS map 60cs... I'd like a handheld, mainly for hiking, camping, hunting, and caching. thanks, DT
