I to have a storm, my suggestion is to get Geocache Navigator software, this will use your internal GPS and give you a compass to guide you, a map section so you can see which street to use, and the specs of the cache. [snip] I use this program and my girlfriend use the GPS and in some cases the phone works better. The battery doesn't last long when using the GPS.
I use my blackberry a lot and combined with Trimble's Geocaching Navigator software, it is an amazing tool. But nothing happens on your phone without first installing something like the trimble software.
I agree, the battery goes quick if you have the GPS on. Make sure when you are done you EXIT the navigator, or any other mapping app, instead of just switching back to the home screen.
]The only down fall I have found is you can't see the hint or past logs.
Not so... go to the menu (the blackberry logo button) and select "show hint" or "show logs"
You have both been brilliant!
What a relief! I was starting to panic that the storm wouldn't be able to do it ........ yeaaahhh!
Geocache here I come!
