    Got Coin?

Hey, Niskibum, ol’ buddy, I think you need a new wash machine, yours seems to be stuck on the agitate cycle. Hit that timer dial on the top of the machine, or turn it to the rinse cycle manually. Remember what we always tell each other, it’s not about numbers, it’s just about having fun. Well, we sure had fun with Moun10Bike on our four wheelers Saturday, while this group of people were having fun with one of Jon’s caches at precisely the same time, in their own sort of way. I read through their logs and they were having the same type of camaraderie with a great group of friends, just as we were. They even called Jon and left a message for him as they were making the find. Let’s not take away from their great experience and make Jon feel like he’s stuck in the middle of another controversy, he may begin to think his coins are causing too many hard feeling and decide to abandon his generosity. I hope you don’t take offense to this post, I usually sit back and just read these forums and chuckle to myself, but this is getting out of hand and people’s feelings are being hurt. Remember Jeff, it’s not about numbers, it’s just getting out and having fun………..Wiz
  3. Hey Idahofire, do you need me to load some of my hammers and other fine tools into a cardboard box and come on down and give you a hand? You know my address, just send me enough $ for one bus fare, Sal has to stay home and work……Wiz
  4. Here's a group shot of the Inland Empire Chapter Of The Washington State Geocachers Association after cleaning Bear Lake County Park, north of Spokane Wa. Give an adult a latex glove and they CITO for the day. Give a kid a Latex glove and they try to suffucate themselves! Our youngest CITOer today, compliments of the Kavuday clan
  5. Thanks people, for all the advice, I tried to search for this question in the forums, but couldn’t find the answer. I didn’t want to ruin my $800.00 laptop, trying to save a few bucks. I had a few reservations about the 12 volt DC to AC converter, but now I believe that’s the route I’ll follow. Thanks again to all who responded, you people are great!
  6. That three hour battery just doesn’t cut it for a full day of Geocaching. I need to get an adaptor to plug into my cigarette lighter, but what do I get? I think I have two options. A 12 volt to AC inverter to plug my Dell AC to DC adaptor into or a 12 volt to 20 volt adaptor that plugs directly into my Dell Inspiron/1100. With the 12 volt to AC, I’ll be able to recharge all my electrical gadgets on the road, but will have a tangle of cords, it’s the cheapest option. The 12 volt to 20 volt converter would be the cleanest solution, but it would only be useful for the laptop and is much more expensive. I would appreciate your opinions and reasoning before I make my purchase.
  7. Go ahead and figger out what two waypoints are missing, let me know and then I'll give you another thought!
  8. Thank you, CachinCin, Michele, Pepper and Mount10Bike for making the long trip over here again to attend our party. It meant alot to us and we appreciate your efforts. Quite a turn out, huh? Wiz
  9. Geo, Man oh live, you are a busy guy. I can't even keep up with all the new versions of Sonar you turn out. I do appreciate all the effort you have put into this program. I have yet to have a problem with a new version and that's pretty remarkable for me, 'cause I'm a computer idiot. Thanks for all the work you've done and for keeping it simple.....Wiz
  10. Today just may be your lucky day! By chance, I happen to live just down the road from you (I think) and I happened to get the DeLorme EarthMate outfit for Christmas. I was thinking I needed it for my PPC, but once I got it, I realized, I need a power source and another cable to get it to work with the PPC. I was gonna take it back, but if you're interested, I'll sell it to you and I can avoid them crowds in Spokane. E-mail me or respond here to let me know what ya think..........Wiz
  11. I hate having to tell you this, but Pullman Washington, is one of the few regions in the world to not have GPS coverage yet. Our scientists are working to solve the problem, but for now you gotta use a map and compass for finding caches in eastern Washington.
  12. Hey Putt; Here's a place that will tell ya just about everything you need to know about your Garmin V. http://www.elsinga.net/index.html?page=gps5faq It sure has helped me out a few times...Wiz
  13. I just now noticed this thread and I don't think them are bear paws, but boy do I have a story to add to this discussion: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?IID=ea3ee4b5-651a-478c-8b42-ef263921326b&LID=1913710 Not for the feint of heart.......Wiz
  14. Candence: I was wonderin' what you were talking about and how you knew, then I looked above your message and "DUH", I eventually figgered it out. I guess now I've got an excuse for acting the way I do, Sal is always tellin me to "grow up, you're actin like a two year old"....Wiz
  15. I see Turtletrax is puttin' on a feast for all you crazy CACHE MACHINERS: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=93534 Hope to see you all there......Wiz
  16. ChiefPig, Your waypoint note is probably already loaded into your “V” if you are using Easy GPS. Hit “find”, ‘waypoints’,’names’, highlite the “GC----“ number you want, press enter, when the “go to” screen pops up, hit menu and you’ll see ‘Waypoint Note’ as an option, high lite it and press enter…PRESTO, you’ve found the note………Wiz

  18. Just recieved our first order of 50 shirts and garbage bags for the Inland Empire Cache In Trash Out Event to be held in Spokane Wa. I ordered them late Wed. night and recieved them this afternoon. Very cool shirts, heavy fabric and excellent graphics. No complaints from me. I really appreciate the effort you've put into this idea, Jeremy.
  19. This one works best for me! http://www.lostoutdoors.com/newmap.html I use it all the time.
  20. Why yes, I planned a special party for my 100th cache but nobody came, check it out at; http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=3532 I did, however have fun without them.......Wiz

Did you say they wern't gonna allow me in the woods anymore.........WIZONKIZ p.s. My sisters, neighbors, best friend, who works at the 7-11 heard the Forest Service was gonna' pay geocachers to hide caches in the forest and charge us to hunt for them to replace the loss of the timber industry.
