Come along now people :- make your own. I have just re-joined after a few years away and am supprised to see the amount of bought containers of one kind or another being used. Making your own was all part of the fun. Have a look at the container at "Hey Diddle Diddle". That was one made by myself and Dotty many years ago and it has still stood the rigors of the weather in a very harsh place. Hi Deceangi Thanks for the welcome back. Lots of water has passed under the bridge but once again back in the land of Geocaching. I will take a guess and say it was "UPLIFTING DAY OUT" that was the one that fell foul of NWFC. He was not the most helpfull of men. As for "Miss PIGGY" nooooo you keep it Dave. She has always been a pain in my rear end radiowise. You have done the work on it so I read. All I can say is "well done". As for the the NO FEAR event, I will try my hardest to get there. Thanks for the invite. DTG is noted in my diary. At present I can not say how active Dotty and I will be but we will try our best. Thanks Briansnat. HazelS Yep things have defo changed. I feel very insignificant now with my total Cache count. Just spent over an hour reading some of the cache's. I was amazed to see the Cat & Fiddle one still going. Like you say I will have to blow away the dust off the E-Trex and dig out my unused Tom-Tom Phredd

Hello good people. Both Phredd & Dot have decided to try again and follow on from where we left off. Things seem to have changed a lot since our departure and we, as a couple, will have to see how things go. All our previous caches will have been placed in the Dungeons of Groundspeak by now so be on the lookout for more of the Phredd & Dotty type of cache. Must go A'Cacheing now. Trashed caches are becomming more commonplace these days. I am now of the belief that "Trashing" is all part of the game. The caches I have had trashed have all had calling cards in them with an e-mail address on them but no one has used them to say they had been found by accident. I now accept it as all part of the game and it is up to me to try harder or GIVE UP.

Just voted. Still out in the lead but more could do with voting. COME ON.

Just like McDehack recently had a cache trashed:- "Runcorns First" is now "Runcorns Last" Digicam is ready and waiting.

Just had a read of "Computer Active" issue No 132. Seems they are going to do an article on GPS and satellite navigation in the next issue, 20 March. One to watch out for.

We have started leaving 6 calling cards in caches we have placed. These are intended for the finder to take as a memento of thier vist. If a finder leaves a calling card in a cache, I feel this card should be left for the owner of the cache. We place a calling card in a cache we find and is intended for the owner of that cache and NOT for another finder to take. The Cards are printed both sides and are laminared. We think are a rather good. (nothing like blowing ones own trumpet) Phredd & Dotty.

We are in danger of becomming an Elitist Club. We all ready have the "number of caches" found. Will we have "number of caches hidden" next, followed by a coloured badge to denote your achievements. Keep Class/Elitism out of the sport. IT IS ONLY A GAME.

Reports of missing caches should be investigated by the cacher who placed it. Three of ours have been archived because of various reasons and a fouth has been made "temporarily unavailable" as it is to good of a location the let the vandles win. The three caches are:- (1) A Wet One. Ingress if water. (2) Beast On A Hill. Trashed/stolen. (3) Yomping In The Forest. As above Number (4) Tam-O-Shanter. the most recent to go AWOL has been made temp unavailable, as it is to good of a location to ignore. Only after a vistit to confirm a missing cache should it be archived or more recent "MADE UNAVAILABLE". Opinions welcome. Phredd

While I like the idea of carrying my own stamp with me, the thought of putting one in every cache would scare me. My pocket money does not allow it, niether does my pay slip at the end of month.
